It has been a while since we have updated our prospect rankings, and while we apologize for that it has been an unprecedented and difficult time to do so as we missed out on a lot of the summer period that we use to evaluate a lot of talent. However, as is usual teams and players persevered and found ways to play, and we too found ways to evaluate whether it was in person or on film.
With the long delay, these rankings look much different than the last time we revised them. We’ve had kids leave early and go to college because of the pandemic, we’ve had kids leave the state because of it and we’ve had kids transfer within the state because of it.
There will be plenty of in depth content moving forward, but we’ll start with a look at a free overview of some of the broad topics we saw from this senior class.
*Note: We do not rank post grad kids unless they played on the team last year or would be eligible to play high school basketball this year.*

Changes in the Top 10
There will always be changes in our rankings, but this year the top 10 shakeups were different because so many kids left to go to school early or left the state. You can see the entire top 10 at the bottom of the article.
Commitments Heavy in Fall
With AAU being so wishy washy this summer because of the pandemic, it left a lot of kids out to dry this summer and robbed them of some great opportunities to play in front of coaches. However, people will always find a way to adapt to the times, and there were plenty of opportunities late in the summer and in the fall to play in events that were live streamed including the I-95 Classic, the PYBL Fall League, the CBG Fall Series and the Seen Circuit. Here’s a few guys who have committed this fall to division one schools.

New Names all Over the Place
We extended our rankings from 125 kids to 150 kids for the 2021 class, and with the amount of transfers in and out of the state and all of the new evaluations we were able to do since the season ended we added over 40 kids to the rankings. Some are from different states, some are new names we learned about and some are guys we just flat out forgot (it happens every time). Stay tuned to the in depth breakdowns of the class as we will highlight all of the new names to the rankings over the next few weeks.
