A look at the top games around the state happening on Tuesday…

GRAFTON (7-1) at NICOLET (6-1)

This game could very well have title implications in the North Shore Conference. The Knights are undefeated in league play, while  the Bulldogs sit just one game back.

Things have shifted since the start of the season. A heavy favorite in the North Shore and Division 2 overall, the Knights are without  Maryland commit James GrahamJamesGraham6'9" | SFNicolet | 2021State#59NationWI, who head to campus early. Nicolet is still rolling along behind USC commit Kobe JohnsonKobeJohnson6'5" | PGNicolet | 2021State#240NationWI, who’s averaging just shy of 18 points per game while constantly flirting with triple-doubles.

Cedarburg boasts one of the best 1-2 punches in the state. Purdue football commit Drew BiberDrewBiber6'3" | SFCedarburg | 2021StateWI and Kansas State commit Logan LandersLoganLanders6'9" | PFCedarburg | 2021StateWI are each averaging better than 19 points per contest.

Both teams badly need this win to stay within striking distance in the Greater Metro Conference.

Having lost two-straight, the Spartans are looking to rebound after back-to-back losses to Sussex Hamilton and Wauwatosa East. East is getting 25.3 points per game from Washington (St. Louis commit) Hayden DoyleHaydenDoyle5'11" | CGBrookfield East | 2021StateWI and 20.3 points per game from freshman guard Tayshawn BridgesTayshawnBridges6'2" | CGBrookfield East | 2024WI.

After a 1-2 start, Falls has started to pick things up. The Phoenix picked up a very strong win over Nicolet and have now won two-straight. The junior duo of Seth TrimbleSethTrimble5'11" | PGMenomonee Falls | 2022StateWI (25.8 ppg) and Steven ClayStevenClay6'5" | SFMenomonee Falls | 2022StateWI (20.4 ppg) has been as good as advertised, if not better.

Xavier (5-2) at Notre Dame (3-2)

These two teams have played very strong schedules to this point and are each battle-tested.

Xavier’s resume includes a win over New London and two tough losses to Kettle Moraine Lutheran and West De Pere. Keep an eye on sophomore Alex SherwoodAlexSherwood6'6" | SFXavier | 2023StateWI, who’s having a breakout season, averaging  18.6 points and 14.4 rebounds per game.

Notre Dame is coming off a tough one-point loss against Cedarburg. The Tritons also have a nice win over East Troy under their belts.
