The schedule statewide was lighter than usual with no Memphis public teams playing, postponements in Murfreesboro and several in east Tennessee. Alajs, some games were played and PrepHoopsTN consumed as many as possible through NFHSNetwork.

For the second night in a row, Gueary played with composure and talent.  Gueary seemed to live at the free throw line again.  His strides are enormous and yet he never appears hurried or out of control.  Solid senior guard.

The Upperman Bees fell Monday to M.B.A. and fought back for a Tuesday win.  Collin led the way with 20 points and 6 rebounds.

Signed to Freed-Hardeman University.  Rush managed 5 rebounds and 8 points in the Upperman victory over Dekalb County.

In a nice, convincing victory over Hendersonville, Shaw scored 16 points.

Write down 33 for Q!  Columbia Central is rolling and rolling thanks to Q.  Martin was a volume scorer last winter.  Now he is just embarrassing dudes.  He stacked 33 points in a pile Tuesday evening in another Central victory.

“I started off attacking the rim,” said Martin after the game.  “I made 2 three pointers. I made a step back jumper too. But my main attacking point was getting to the rim.”  Martin finished off all 10 of his free throw attempts.

Tall guard Jonathan Zhao mustered 31 points in a victory over Jefferson County. Zhao is a high-academic recruit with a wonderful GPA and test score.  Watch his early season highlights.

Aaron and teammate Grayson Maddox each scored 14 points, as reported by Harpeth Head Coach Daniel Moman on Twitter.  Will Collier helped with 13 points in the HHS win over Greenbrier.
