Salem Baptist Senior 6’6 Forward Shad Thomas Shad Thomas 6'6" | SF Salem Baptist Christian | 2021 State NC is a player that we have been talking about quite a bit lately and he put together a career night on Tuesday. Shad scored 33 Points in their matchup with Statesville Christian which was the first game of the season for Salem Baptist.
Trinity Christian Junior Freddie Dilione Freddie Dilione 6'6" | SG Word of God | 2023 #37 Nation NC came up big for TCS once again, leading the team in scoring with 17 Points and a win over Mount Zion. He’s making his case as one of the better guards in NC for 2022 as well as one of the top prospects.
High Point Christian Senior Guard Ethan Smith was big time on Tuesday night, going for 30 points, showing his outstanding shooting ability. Standing at close to 6’7 with a very high GPA, he’s one to keep an eye on.
One of the games that we highlighted as a game to watch was Ravenscroft vs The Burlington School and it ended up being a classic game that went to the wire. Senior TBS Guard Jamarii Thomas Jamarii Thomas 6'1" | PG The Burlington School | 2021 State NC went for 25 Points which was almost half of his teams total points as they pulled off the two point win.
Fayetteville Christian came up short in their matchup with Grace Christian but Senior Guard Tomas Stevens was a bright spot for the team. Scoring 24 Points and dishing out 5 Assist, he’s working to get his name on the watchlist of some smaller colleges sooner than later.
Mount Zion Christian Academy came up short in their matchup with Trinity Christian but they have a talented player of their own in Junior Guard Santiago Nieto. Nieto looked to put the team on his back scoring wise, finishing with a game high of 29 Points on the night. He understands how to break down defenders, as well as getting his shot off without much issue.
