Cascade Ramblers: The Ramblers will look to make a push for the state championship this year thanks to a departure from Lakeside moving up to 1A DI. Last season, Cascade put together a dominant season and they return the majority of their roster in the upcoming season. Cascade will be led by Cruz Duerden Cruz Duerden 5'10" | SG Cascade | 2021 State ID , an excellent shooter with the potential to get hot in a hurry, and Blake Thurston Blake Thurston 5'10" | PG Cascade | 2021 State ID , one of the leading scorers for the Ramblers last season. Look for Cascade to make a push for the state championship this season.
Mackay Miners: Mackay will look to make a journey to the Treasure Valley in March to compete in the state championships. Last season, the Miners won the consolation bracket after a tough first round exit in overtime. Mackay has plenty of firepower returning to their roster, and they should have no problem finding their winning groove and returning to the height of their success. Watch for Mackay to lead a balanced team approach as they attempt to win a state championship this season.
Garden Valley Wolverines: The Wolverines will have a tough road ahead of them with Cascade being in the same conference and a lot of difficult games in their way. Last season, Garden Valley was able to make the state tournament, but lost in the opening round to the eventual champion, Lakeside. The Wolverines will look to Covy Kelly Covy Kelly 6'0" | PG Garden Valley | 2021 State ID , a tremendous scorer and deadly shooter to lead the way on an attempt to make it further in the tournament, with the ultimate goal of achieving a state title.
