The programs in eastern Idaho have slowly been producing some powerhouse teams and the 2020-21 season will be sure to showcase these improvements once again. In recent years, a bunch of great players have come from the east side of the state and many great players are gearing up to show what they developed in the offseason. It was nearly impossible to narrow this list down to only 3 players and I apologize to anyone that deserves to be on this list, but the following are the three best players from the east side of the state in my humble opinion. Continue reading for a look at the 3 best players to watch in eastern Idaho in no particular order.
Kaden Dabell, Rigby: Kaden is one of the most exciting players to watch in the state. He plays the game with some added flair and his skills will always leave you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what he will do next. This season, Dabell will be shouldering more of the offensive weight for the Trojans and he will look to lead them back to the state tournament and a shot at the title. He is an all-around offensive threat with a high basketball IQ that will be a tough cover for all defenders.
Lloyer Driggs, Thunder Ridge: Driggs is one of the best scorers in the state and he will be a constant headache for defenders in the east. He can score at all three levels and plays the game with a smooth approach that makes him an incredibly tough cover. Driggs will be looking to help take Thunder Ridge to the next level this season by leading them to the state tournament in March and he will have a tough road ahead. Overall, Lloyer could easily make a case as one of the top guards in the state of Idaho.
Taden King Taden King 6'4" | PG Madison | 2021 State ID , Madison: Taden is a great offensive threat for the Bobcats that shoots the ball incredibly well. He loves to shoot from the perimeter as well as getting into rhythm jumpers from the middle of the paint. At 6’3″, King has great size for a guard and easily shoots over defenders. King will look to make a big impact for the Bobcats this season as he attempts to lead them back to the state tournament.
