Top 10 Shooting Guards Regardless Of Class

We have visited the point guard and combo guard positions in earlier installments of our Top 10 series. Today, we take a look at the best the state has to offer from the shooting guard position.  Like every other position, this group is stacked with talent across all classes with different but effective skill-sets. So get familiar with some of the best 2's in the state. 1. He has a strong body that makes him a more than capable defender. 3. Jordan FrazierJordanFrazier6'4" | SGJames Clemens | 2022StateAL, 6'4, 2022: Another one of those long and athletic wings who can really shoot the basketball. He is a defined knockdown shooter who is very capable at putting the ball on the floor and scoring at the rim in the half-court or in transition. 4. John BroomJohnBroom6'5" | SGJacksonville | 2023StateAL, 6'4, 2023: I've said this about this prospect before and coaches love "he has never met a shot he didn't like." He has a smooth offensive game and already has great size for the position. A high volume shooter who once he gets stronger and more experience will be a real problem for defenders. 5. Tommie LawTommieLaw6'3" | SGMary G. Montgomery | 2021StateAL, 6'3, 2021: The fourth lefty in our top 5 he is arguably the most athletic and aggressive at attacking the basket. Once he puts his head down and makes up his mind he is getting to the basket not much defenders can do to stop him. He is a great shot-blocking guard who lives by the rule "No layups." 6. Brandon HowardBrandonHoward6'4" | SGOpelika | 2021StateAL, 6'4, 2021: A big guard with the body to withstand the wear and tear of being a high volume scorer. He scores in off the dribble as good as anyone in the state with a knockdown jump shot in the midrange or from deep. 7. Josh PaigeJoshPaige6'4" | SGEufala | 2022StateAL, 6'5, 2021: This kid has legit next level size. His ability to attack has vastly improved, and he still possesses the ability to shoot the basketball consistently from deep. His length on the perimeter makes him a real threat to be a very good 2-way player. 8. Hunter IvyHunterIvy6'2" | SGFairhope | 2022StateAL, 6'2, 2022: Another one of those prototypical throwback 2 guards with a good body and an elite ability to score the basketball. Another lefty on the list to watch this gut score is a treat to watch. He continues to improve his lateral movement which will make him a more effective defender. 9. Will BagleyWillBagley6'3" | SGGston | 2023StateAL, 6'3, 2023: The ProOne program continues to produce these high-level wing players with well-developed bodies and games. Here is another that can flat out shoot the basketball. As he continues to develop his ability to score off the dribble will only raise his stock. 10. Carson MuseCarsonMuse6'6" | SGWest Morgan | 2023StateAL, 6'6, 2023 Great size at a young age for the shooting guard position. He does a great job of getting to his spots on the floor and putting the ball in the basket. He has deep range on his jump shot and his size allows him to be able to shoot over the top of defenders. Intriguing prospect going forward.
