Holiman put up an incredible 49-point, 3-assist performance in a loss against Broken Bow on Dec. 8, contributing on 83 percent of the Buffs’ total points.
Holiman also shot 43 percent from the 3-point line in that game and recorded three steals in the second game of his junior campaign.
A speedy guard, Holiman has always had his quickness as an edge, though it seems his game has developed the consistency he needs to be a high-major guard if not perpetually, at least during his high-scoring bouts. The guard has great vision for the floor, can beat defenders on angles, and creates separation with one of the most complete catalogs of scoring maneuvers in the state.
Holiman’s development has been impressive, and it does not seem he plans to slow down now.
Carter Perry | 2023 Vanoss PG
Last year, Perry was just a freshman fighting for playing time after moving to Vanoss in the eighth grade.
On Friday, Dec. 4, however, Perry netted 45 points in the fifth game of his sophomore season for the No. 8 undefeated Wolves.
The recipient of the 2020 Ada News All-Area Freshman of the year, Perry has a developed skill-set with a deep bag of tools. Offensively, he can hit shots with efficiency, allowing him to later explore the bottom level. At the rack, Perry finishes well with either hand and can slash to beat defenders on angles. He also has decent vision to dish the ball on the drive to open cutters.
Defensively, Perry is very impressive.
The sophomore gathered six steals in his 45-point night, most of which turned into points on the offensive end. He has a knack for eyeing the ball-handler while off-the-ball and bursting down-hill to snatch their pass attempts.
Jonah Jenkins | 2022 Cashion PG
The sophomore point guard has remarkable feel for the game and vision for the floor.
A classic guard, Jenkins averages 7.3 assists-a-game so far in his junior campaign. He recorded a 20-point, 10-assist night during the Garber Tournament on Thursday, Dec. 10 in one of his best performances to-date in his young career.
Jenkins earned All-Three-Rivers Conference honors as a sophomore has helped the Wildcats to an early 3-0 record and No. 2 ranking with seven voter for the top spot.
