Region 1
Layton has too much and on paper they’re Goliath. They have the tallest front-court in the state with Ethan Potter Ethan Potter 6'8" | SF Layton | 2021 State #194 Nation UT and Preston Squire Preston Squire 6'11" | PF Layton | 2021 State UT s, both are Division 1 prospects.
Beware: Don’t overlook Davis, they have a lot of shooting. Rex Sunderland Rex Sunderland 6'4" | PG Davis | 2022 State UT and Henry Ihrig can really play.
Region 2
Cyprus & West Jordan will likely split home games. Cyprus brings a dynamic team that likes to push the pace. Quentin Meza Quentin Meza 6'0" | PG Cyprus | 2023 State UT and Diego Mulford Diego Mulford 5'10" | PG American Fork | 2024 State UT will be hard to contain. West Jordan has a lot more players that will distribute the load but keep an eye on Logan Prince Logan Prince 6'3" | CG West Jordan | 2022 State UT who’s stock went up at the end of last season.
Beware: Kearns could really make a jump. Keep a eye on Johnny Gasaloga.
Region 3
Bingham has a mixture of youth and experience. They have 4 players that could lead the team at any given night, Jordan Toscano Jordan Toscano 6'1" | PG Bingham | 2021 State UT , Kam Dupaix Kam Dupaix 6'5" | CG Bingham | 2022 State UT , Devin Carlston and Justis Reiser Justis Reiser 6'2" | SG Bingham | 2021 State UT . They will be tough to beat.
Beware: Riverton might be that team that will sneak up on people. Cody Nixon Cody Nixon 6'4" | PG Riverton | 2021 State UT is poised to have a great year.
Region 4
American Fork has the horses to compete with anyone. Jaxon Kohler Jaxon Kohler 6'9" | PF Southern California Academy | 2022 #49 Nation CA-S is one of the best 2022 players in the country. They will be in a battle every game in Region 4.
Beware: Lone Peak is that sleeper team that just plays with a high level of intensity. Cameron Brimhall Cameron Brimhall 6'8" | PF Lone Peak | 2021 State UT is going to be key to their success.
Region 5
Farmington will have too much of Collin Chandler Collin Chandler 6'5" | CG Farmington | 2022 State #28 Nation UT for anyone to handle but dont forget about Truman Henry, the kid is a load inside.
Beware: Bonneville is a well coached team that might surprise someone.
Region 6
Olympus has two players that will be must watch in Ben Krystowiak Ben Krystowiak 6'4" | CG Brighton | 2021 State UT and Jack Wistricill who can both light it up from deep.
Beware: Murray is always overlooked, we will not overlook them this year.
Region 7
Timpview is the favorite in all of 5A with guys like Jake Wahlin Jake Wahlin 6'8" | SF Timpview | 2021 State #150 Nation UT and Coleman Ford Coleman Ford 5'10" | PG Timpview | 2021 State UT coming back.
Beware: Alta is so good and Jaden Brownell Jaden Brownell 6'8" | SF Alta | 2021 State UT could really cause problems for teams.
Region 8
Provo has some talented unknown players like Juan Carlos Camargo Juan Carlos Camargo 6'7" | SF Provo | 2021 State UT .
Beware: Payson has some shooters and a big that can really play some inside out game.
Region 9
Dixie lost some guys but they return a lot of talent and they will be deep. Isaac Finlinson Isaac Finlinson 6'6" | CG Dixie | 2021 State UT is a great floor general.
Beware: Cedar has all the pieces to really make noise with Dallin Grant Dallin Grant 6'8" | SF Cedar City | 2021 State #212 Nation UT and Treyton Tebbs Treyton Tebbs 6'0" | CG Cedar | 2021 State UT . They will be tough to beat.
Region 10
Juan Diego has a lot of returners and none better than the speedy Talon Valdes Talon Valdes 6'0" | PG Juan Diego | 2021 State UT that can score with the best of them.
Beware: Tooele and Justin Rodgers Justin Rodgers 6'5" | SF Toole | 2021 State UT will battle, with some shooting they will be a tough out.
Region 11
Ridgeline has a lot of players that can score. They will be without Caden Cox for awhile as he is nursing a broken leg. but they have the guys to still make a run.
Beware; Logan returns a lot of upperclassmen Jadin Penigar should make a jump this season.
