40. Nic Stump Nic Stump 6'5" | PF Grand Haven | 2022 State MI , 6’5″ F, Grand Haven 2022″
Nic’s stock continues to rise thanks in large part to a great AAU and fall league performance. He has great bounce and plays with a smooth disposition. He sees the floor well and picks his spots to score without forcing the issue. Nic’s a reliable rebounder and also uses his size well in scoring situations in the paint.
39. Brady Bosma, 6’3″ G, West Ottawa 2021″
Brady has a great shot from the perimeter and is hard to guard against due to his quick release. Additionally, his ability to knock down off-balanced shots stands out. Brady has a lanky frame that he uses effectively on defense. He flashed potential of being a three-level scorer as a sophomore. I’d expect Brady to be a focal point of West Ottawa’s offense this season.
38. Landon Regnerus, 6’5″ F, Grandville 2021″
Landon has the size and tools to be a solid player at the next level. Landon is a threat to score from the perimeter and has the size and athleticism to put the ball on the floor and convert in the paint. His ball-handling has continued to evolve, and shows good vision in his passing ability, especially from the high post. Defensively, he plays with a high motor and is proven to be a solid shot-blocker.
37. Maurice Sain Jr. Maurice Sain Jr. 6'6" | SF Muskegon | 2022 State MI , 6’3″ G, Muskegon 2022″
Maurice is a budding star waiting for his breakout season. He’s a good athlete with a great feel for the game. Maurice can guard positions 1-4 and has the same type of versatility offensively. He has a good looking jumper, which should continue to come into form. Maurice is one of my sleeper picks to blossom into a top-10 prospect from the west side of the state.
36. Clay Lake Clay Lake 6'4" | PF Byron Center | 2021 State MI , 6’5″ G, Byron Center 2021″
Clay has flashed his potential a number of times last season featuring impressive two-handed drop-step dunks over defenders. He’s a wiry athlete that should be a force as he continues to develop. Clay has a nice shot from deep and can create his own shot off the dribble. He sees the floor well and does a good job of setting up teammates to score.
35. Sam Versteeg Sam Versteeg 5'9" | PG GR Christian | 2021 State MI , 5’10” G, Grand Rapids Christian 2021″
Sam is one of the best shooters in the area and isn’t afraid to pull up from well beyond the three-point line. He’s also a great ball-handler whose skillset causes opposing coaches to second-guess putting Christian in a full-court press. He’s a shifty athlete and hardly turns the ball over, making him one of the most reliable point guards from the OK Conference.
34. Santanna Phillips Santanna Phillips 5'10" | PG Ottawa Hills | 2021 State MI , 6’1″ G, Ottawa Hills 2021″
Santana’s game has an essence of smoothness to it. He has the knack of lulling a defense to sleep then dropping a barrage of shots before the defense has time to adjust. He has some of the quickest hands in the area, allowing him to be a menace on the defensive end. Santana is also one of the wiser players on the court and does a great job of facilitating the offense and taking games over when he needs to.
33. Kobe Haglund Kobe Haglund 6'3" | PG West Ottawa | 2022 State MI , 5’10 G, West Ottawa 2022″
Kobe is electric offensively, proving this summer that he can score from the pull-up, off a dribble-drive, and in spot-up situations. He has a quick release and does a job of exploiting his defender’s weaknesses to convert shots. He’s also a proven passer and excels so in transition opportunities.
32. Bashir Neely Bashir Neely 6'3" | PG Grand Haven | 2022 State MI , 6’0″ G, Grand Haven 2022″
Bashir is another Buccaneer whose stock soared this summer. He’s a highly athletic guard who can score in multiple ways, making him one of the hardest guards to defend in the OK Red. Bashir has a nice stroke from distance and has proven to beat his man off the dribble time and time again in iso sets. His ability to convert tough shots in the paint has increased as his awareness, lending him to rack up assists in transition.
31. TJ Barnes TJ Barnes 5'9" | PG Grandville | 2021 State MI , 5’10” G, East Kentwood 2021″
TJ is one of the quickest guards and one of the best on-ball defenders in the OK Red. He has the ability to lock up his man for a full 94 feet and the endurance to do it for a full four-quarters. He served as East Kentwood’s primary two-guard a season ago but should be in a position to run the show as he enters his senior season.
