Point guard play is essential in high school basketball as they are the ones who run the offense. Teams who are able to get good production out of there point guards usually have strong seasons. The NJIC is filled with good lead guards who are capable of making an impact at the next level. Here are the top point guards to watch in the NJIC this season.

Jayden Lemond Jayden Lemond 6'3" | PG Blair Academy | 2023 State NJ , 6’3 Dwight-Englewood 2022

The Bulldogs won 19 games last season and they have an opportunity for another strong season with Lemond returning in the backcourt. The 6’3 guard has a good handle and knows how to get to the basket. Lemond is a nice finisher around the rim and is also capable of knocking down perimeter jumpers. He is a good passer and uses his athleticism to make plays on the defensive end. Lemond is a talented point guard who is ready for another strong season for Dwight-Englewood.

Secaucus made it to the sectional semifinals last year and have the potential for another strong season with Lama back in the fold. The lefty lead guard has a nice release on his jumper
