Garrett Athon Garrett Athon 6'4" | C Jefferson West | 2021 State KS , senior, Jefferson West:
The big man in the middle has been the model of consistency for the Tigers. He does what’s needed, and on Friday that was 22 points in a win over Sabetha.
Fred Criqui Fred Criqui 6'7" | C St. Marys | 2022 State KS , junior, St. Marys (pictured):
The 6-foot-7 Criqui has been waiting for his breakout game. He had it against Silver Lake, hitting 10 field goals to put up 27 in a 63-38 blasting of the Eagles.
Avery Gatzemeyer Avery Gatzemeyer 6'1" | PG Valley Falls | 2022 State KS , junior, Valley Falls:
Gatzemeyer has been incredibly consistent this season. He has scored at least 13 in each game. Friday he hit six 3-pointers in a valiant effort against Pleasant Ridge.
Braden Heins, junior,Northern Heights:
The Wildcats are having a tough time defending their Flint Hills League title, but Heins is doing all he can. He hit four 3-pointers and scored 22 in a loss to Central Heights.
Zeke Mayo Zeke Mayo 6'4" | CG Lawrence | 2021 State KS , senior, Lawrence:
Nothing big. Just another 20 point game for Mayo against SM North. He now has point totals of 28, 22, 23, and 20 for the season.
Noah McCullough Noah McCullough 6'1" | CG Ottawa | 2022 State KS , junior, Ottawa:
The Cyclones lost nearly everything from last years’s state tournament team. But McCullough, who averaged 10 points and 7.5 rebounds from that club is back. He was huge against Paola Friday, hitting 11 field goals and scoring 25.
Devan Mcewen Devan Mcewen 6'3" | SG Lebo | 2021 State KS , senior, Lebo:
McEwen singlehandedly outscored Hartford 35-29. He hit 12 field goals, including 5 triples, and was 6-7 from the line.
Raef Osterhaus, junior, Centralia:
The 6-foot-1 turned in a huge performance in a win over Hanover. He hit 10 field goals, 4-5 from the line, and tallied 26.
Trever Quaney, junior, Burlingame:
The 6-foot-7 Quaney provided 19 points in a 66-31 blowout win over Marais des Cygnes Valley.
Will Rau, senior, Veritas:
The 6-foot-4 Rau put on a show in a 66-58 win over Cair Paravel, hitting 10 field goals, including two from beyond the arc. He finished with 27.
