Some small school ballers turned in big performances Tuesday – for some it was their first time out this fall.

Royal Valley has been pitted in two tough battles to start the season. Wahwassuck tossed in 19 in a close loss to St. Marys last week. Tuesday he went for 22 in a 50-48 overtime win over Jefferson West.

Jeremiah Duncan, senior, BV-Randolph:

The 6-foot-3 senior has tossed in 19 points in each of his first two games.

Wyatt Trost, senior, Concordia:

The 6-foot-2 senior accounted for 17 in the win over Republic County.

Gavin Cornelison, senior, Frankfort:

In a nice win over Northern Heights, Cornelison led the way with 20.

Get ready to play ‘Know your Jueneman.’ There were three of them in the game for Hanover Tuesday night. Senior Emmitt went for 11 field goals and 26 total points in a win over Linn.

The third-team 3A performer got off to a great start with 22 points in a win against a tough St Marys club.
