- Keonjay Carter – The Park School of Buffalo – Class of 2021
Carter lead all current Monsignor Martin League returnees in assists during the 2019-2020 campaign with 4.4 per game. A 6’1’’ lead ballhandler, Carter is a sure-handed point guard who is proven to value the basketball. Out of 24 total games played, only 8 featured an A:TO under 1.0. Impressively, 5 of those contests featured a remarkable rate of over 3.0.
- Justin Glover Justin Glover 5'10" | PG St. Joseph's Collegiate | 2022 State NY – St. Joseph’s Collegiate Prep – Class of 2022
Glover, the only non-senior to crack this list, comes from a long lineage of crafty dribblers. Justin’s father Kevin, a former Canisius College Maurader, is now an assistant coach at Buffalo State. Justin’s elder brother Jordan played for his father at Buffalo State and is now on staff at Daeman College. Glover refuses to let his size (5’8”) hold him back, as you will find him pounding the basketball so hard onto the floor that it makes it nearly impossible for a defender to jar it loose. Glover is looking to add onto his even 4 assists per game average from 2019-2020 as he enters his Junior season.
- Hugh Purks Hugh Purks 5'10" | PG Nichols | 2021 State NY – Nichols School – Class of 2021
A two-sport athlete, Purks plays soccer as an outlet to get into tremendous shape for each basketball season. Despite sharing ball-handling duties in 2019-2020 with the graduated Jesse Adamu Jesse Adamu 6'0" | PG Nichols | 2021 State NY , Purks still found himself leading the team with 3.2 assists per game at the end of the year. Look for Purks to take on an even larger role this season for a Vikings team that lost 2,000 point scorer Aidan Horan to graduation.
- Jalen Bradberry Jalen Bradberry 6'3" | PG Woodstock Academy | 2022 State #248 Nation NLG – The Park School of Buffalo – Class of 2021
At 6’3”, Bradberry boasts a tremendous physical profile for a lead guard. Bradberry showed in 2019-2020 that he is a true winning player, helping lead his team to an impressive 18-6 overall record while averaging 3.2 assists per game. Bradberry saved his best game of the 2019-2020 season for last when he dished out a career-high 12 helpers in a route of Mount Zion Christian Academy (NC). Look for Bradberry and his teammate Keonjay Carter to take on even-greater leadership roles in 2020-2021 as the team’s starting Senior backcourt.
- Amiel Collins – St. Francis High School – Class of 2021
Collins’ 2019-2020 season saw him average career-highs nearly across the board, including an impressive 3.1 assists per game. Entering his fourth and final Varsity season, Collins is the unquestioned leader of this St. Francis iteration and will look to add even more value this season to a Red Raider team that finished in third place in 2019-2020 Monsignor Martin League.
