Gabe Sisk Gabe Sisk 6'5" | SG Ballard | 2023 #232 Nation CA-N and Jack Edelen Jack Edelen 5'9" | PG Male | 2023 State KY , Ballard (2023) – Complimentary pieces, Edelen is the heady point guard who thrives as the orchestrator of the offense. Sisk is the bigger and more athletic combo guard whose focus is on scoring the ball. Together, they could average over 35 points per game this season and should have Ballard firmly in the mix for a 7th region title run.
Kenyon Goodin Kenyon Goodin 6'3" | CG Collins | 2023 State KY and Quentin Simmons Quentin Simmons 6'1" | PG Collins | 2023 State KY , Collins (2023) – Replacing two D1 guards is not an easy job but Simmons and Goodin should be able to step in and have Collins in the mix in the 8th region from day one. Kenyon is a big combo who can score at multiple levels. Simmons is a shifty point who can create for himself or others. Combined, they are the best young backcourt in the 8th region.
Jamal Chambers Jamal Chambers 6'2" | PG Fern Creek | 2023 State KY , Kyran Tilley Kyran Tilley 6'1" | PG Evangel Christian | 2024 State KY , Meechie White Meechie White 6'3" | CG Male | 2023 State KY (2023) and Max Gainey Max Gainey 5'11" | PG Male | 2024 State KY (2024), Male – Male continues to have an embarrassment of riches, talent wise. Any 4 of these guards could start for about any team in Kentucky but only one or two of them will start for Coach Haworth this season. All bring different strengths to the floor but if they can compliment each other and play alongside Cameron Pope, Male may be the best team in the state.
Colin Porter Colin Porter 5'11" | PG Ashland | 2022 State KY (2023) and Zander Carter Zander Carter 6'6" | SG Ashland Blazer | 2025 State #296 Nation KY (2024), Ashland – Both Porter and Carter played a ton of high school before actually enrolling in high school as Carter was a starter at Greenup and Porter came from Elliott County and is on track to be a 6 year high school starter. Carter is more scorer than facilitator while Porter is at his best getting into the paint and creating open looks for teammates like Carter. The Tomcats are off a undefeated season and looking to run it back with a couple of impact transfers, Carter included.
Blake Reed Blake Reed 5'10" | PG Mason County | 2024 KY (2024) and Cayden Reed (2025), Bracken County – Blake has been starting high school games for a while now and little brother Cayden will start this season as an 8th grader. Both are point guards by nature and position but can compliment each other as a guard duo. Blake, the older Reed, is a volume scorer but Cayden is more of a traditional floor general point guard. Combined, they could eventually get Bracken to a 10th region title run.
