Rickey Lovette Rickey Lovette 6'6" | PF Montgomery County | 2021 State KY , Montgomery County – Lovette is the only player on this list holding multiple scholarship offers and when you see how hard he plays, you can see why. Lovette is 6’6 but plays much bigger. He’s a really good rim protector on defense while being a rim runner on the offensive end. His perimeter skills are still developing but his upside is clear and he has a chance to play his way on to the low D1 radar.
Dez Lindsay Dez Lindsay 6'6" | PF Male | 2022 State KY , Male – Lindsay has shown flashes of his ability over the years and once his motor is running, he’s a top player in the 7th region. A matchup nightmare thanks to his ability to stretch the floor with shooting or put the ball on the floor, Dez would ideally be more of a small forward or wing at the next level and could be a mid major D1 player if he went to junior college first.
Cearius Warren, Fern Creek – One of the best athletes in the state, Warren still has yet to scratch the surface of his potential but is running out of time to do so. “King” is long and able to attack off the wing or post up on the block. He still has work to do as a perimeter shooter but his mechanics aren’t bad. Cearius has NBA level athleticism and could be the next Jay Scrubb if he reaches his potential.
Trevor Hardin Trevor Hardin 6'6" | PF Henry County | 2021 State KY , Henry County – Hardin is a throwback post player who is most comfortable with his back to the basket. Trevor is likely to end his career as one of the best players in Henry County history. At 6’6, Hardin is a little undersized at the post spot but makes up for it with athleticism and a relentless motor. Trevor would be a really good D2/NAIA player at the next level.
Jacobi Huddleston Jacobi Huddleston 6'8" | PF Bowling Green | 2021 State KY , Bowling Green – When a D1 coach was at Bowling Green practice in the fall of 2019 he told me that Huddleston was “a no brainer D1 player”. Since then, Jacobi has been up and down in terms of production but the potential is still there. At 6’7 and pretty well skilled, Jacobi is going to have a chance to turn some heads this season.
Hunter Penn Hunter Penn 6'5" | PF Woodford County | 2021 State KY , Woodford County – Hunter is one of my favorite “blue collar” players in the class as he does all the dirty work for his Woodford team. Penn is really skilled and an excellent passer out of the post. He can also shoot the ball well and has high level academics. Some D3 school would get an absolute steal if they land Penn in the spring signing period.
