Jaden Rogers Jaden Rogers 6'1" | PG Fern Creek | 2021 State KY , Fern Creek – Jaden once held multiple D1 offers but those are likely gone at this point as that’s how recruiting goes at the low to mid major levels. Whichever school gets Rogers is going to get a tough and highly skilled guard who can play on or off the ball but is an excellent creator of offense and can score at every level. A Low D1 school would get a steal with Jaden at this point.
JaQuais Franklin JaQuais Franklin 6'1" | PG Elizabethtown | 2021 State KY , Elizabethtown – Franklin once held an offer from UIC before the coaching change this spring. At this point, he may be the best player in Kentucky that never gets talked about. He can score at a high level and can run an offense. His ability to create offense should get him low to mid D1 looks but the longer we don’t have a basketball season, the worse it looks for his D1 options.
Jaylen Fairman Jaylen Fairman 5'11" | PG Jeffersontown | 2021 IN , Jeffersontown – Fairman is a flashy lead guard who is more of a floor general than our previous two entries and would be just as happy to get a teammate an open shot as to take one himself. Jaylen plays with a chip on his shoulder and in a normal (non-pandemic) recruiting cycle, he would likely have a shot at low major D1. In this year, he would be an excellent pick up for a D2 or NAIA school.
KJ Crump KJ Crump 5'8" | PG University Heights | 2021 State KY , University Heights – Crump already has a couple of offers at the D2 and Juco levels despite missing all summer and fall with an injury. When he was younger, KJ showed himself to be a great facilitator before becoming primarily a scorer last season. KJ is a shifty guard who is very quick and can guard opposing PGs.
Delshawn Sims Delshawn Sims 6'0" | PG Seneca | 2021 State KY , Seneca – A classic example of a kid from Louisville who is a really good player but hasn’t had a ton of exposure, Sims can compete with any other player on this list on both ends of the court. Delshawn could be the type of player to go to Juco and wind up D1 in a couple years.
Devin Perry Devin Perry 5'11" | PG DeSales | 2021 State KY , DeSales – Back from Florida after a year away, Perry is a scoring point guard who excels at getting in the paint and scoring or creating for others. In state NAIA and D2 schools should be lining up to recruit the tough guard from Louisville.
Kale Gaither Kale Gaither 5'10" | PG Madisonville-North Hopkins | 2022 State KY , Madisonville – Gaither could be in line for a big season at a new school playing for a new coach and a new offensive system. Kale has never been afraid to take and make tough shots but Coach Newton could help push him to the next level and a more well rounded player. Don’t be surprised if he ends up with multiple college offers by graduation time.
Jeremiah Belton Jeremiah Belton 5'10" | PG LaRue County | 2021 State KY , LaRue County – Probably the most prototypical “pure point” on the list, Jeremiah rarely looks for his own offense. He prefers to create shots for teammates, handle the ball and be a bulldog on defense. Belton is probably going to play football in college but he could earn offers from NAIA schools if he chooses basketball as his college path.
