Huskies vs. Spartans

Coming into tonight’s game Wahpeton was 2-1 and Fargo North was 0-1. Both teams played half-court man on defense for most of the game. The difference in tonight’s game was free-throws. Wahpeton was 12-12 in the first half and 3-6 in the second half. North was 2-4 in the first and 15-20 in the second half. Free throws were the name of the game tonight, and each team won the battle in a half. North just so happened to do it in the second half when it mattered most. It was a hard-fought game and both teams gave great effort. North’s size and depth wore Wahpeton down and they were unable to hang in there for the final stretch. The Spartan have Jeremiah Sem who ended with 29 points and a boatload of rebounds. The Huskies also had a couple of stellar performances from guards Tyler TollefsonTylerTollefson5'11" | SGWahpeton | 2021StateND (29 pts) and Bridger Hansen (23 pts). The Huskies did lead for a stretch in the second half and played well. Eventually, the Spartans would close the gap and never look back. The game slowed down in the last two minutes because of fouls.
