Chuck Bailey III (PG, Birmingham Groves)
Bailey III is as steady of a lead guard as you can find in the state. Part of that steadiness is his ability to shoot at an extremely high percentage from the field.
John Blackwell John Blackwell 6'3" | CG Brother Rice | 2023 State #185 Nation MI (SG, Brother Rice)
Don’t forget this name because he is a top 10 talent with a huge upside. Blackwell can flat out score from all over the court.
Matt Blanton Matt Blanton 6'3" | SG Chelsea | 2023 State MI (SG, Chelsea)
Blanton is half of a talented class of 2023 backcourt at Chelsea. He’s always shot ready and connects at a high rate.
Charlie Deutsch Charlie Deutsch 6'4" | SG Rockford | 2023 State MI (SG, Rockford)
Deutsch’s jumper looked much improved from spring to fall. At the fall showcases, he looked confident in firing his jumper and seemed to have a quicker release.
Tyler Jamison Tyler Jamison 6'4" | SF Port Huron Northern | 2023 State MI (SF, Port Huron Northern)
Jamison is an elite wing in the class of 2023. His jumper is a key part of his game and he’s proved that it’s a weapon.
Simon Neuhaus Simon Neuhaus 6'5" | SF East Grand Rapids | 2023 State MI (SF, East Grand Rapids)
Neuhaus is an supremely underrated talent. The kid is a baller that can create looks at the rim. I expect him to have a big sophomore season, and his jumper will be a big piece of that success.
Triston Nichols Triston Nichols 6'2" | SF De La Salle | 2023 State MI (SF, Warren De La Salle)
Nichols had one of the most impressive grassroots seasons in the state. Even playing up an age bracket, his shot was pure and accurate.
Malik Olafioye Malik Olafioye 6'2" | PG Ecorse | 2023 State #149 Nation MI (PG, Ecorse)
Olafioye has been known for things other than his jumper, but if you’ve been paying close attention, his jumper is very legit now. It’s yet another tool on his belt.
Andrew Sniesak Andrew Sniesak 6'4" | PF Armada | 2023 State MI (SG, Armada)
I liked watching Sniesak shoot from early spring on. He’s hit a button with his jumper and he’s more than ready to unleash come high school season.
Jakhary Towns Jakhary Towns 6'1" | SG Godwin Heights | 2023 State MI (SG, Godwin Heights)
Towns has a unique game and a unique jumper. What I love about it, is how pure he is from from mid range. It’s almost like he’s mastered a lost art.
Sonny Wilson Sonny Wilson 6'0" | PG UD Jesuit | 2023 State #189 Nation MI (UD Jesuit)
I could watch Sonny Wilson Sonny Wilson 6'0" | PG UD Jesuit | 2023 State #189 Nation MI shoot from the corners all day long. He’s quick with his stroke and never hesitates on his shot.
