Jackson Barath Jackson Barath 6'4" | CG Monroe Jefferson | 2021 State MI (CG, Monroe Jefferson)
There’s a reason he’s on pace to be his school’s all time leading scorer. Barath can get hot from all over the floor.
Pierre Brooks Pierre Brooks 6'5" | SG Detroit Douglass | 2021 State #76 Nation MI II (G/F, Detroit Frederick Douglass)
Brooks II is known for many things, but you can’t forget his shooting. His stroke from behind the arc is pure and confident.
Kobe Bufkin Kobe Bufkin 6'4" | SG Grand Rapids Christian | 2021 State #71 Nation MI (CG, Grand Rapids Christian)
Bufkin has that pretty lefty stroke that many of us other lefties have tried to emulate in the driveway for years. He rises up, pauses, and fires it.
Tyson Edmondson Tyson Edmondson 6'5" | SG Ann Arbor Huron | 2021 State MI (SG, Ann Arbor Huron)
Edmondson has shown in the gym range. He’s perfectly comfortable shooting over top the outstretched hands of a defender closing out.
Ethan Emerzian Ethan Emerzian 6'0" | PG Troy | 2021 State MI (PG, Troy)
Emerzian is one of the most prolific shooters in the state of Michigan. The best thing about it? He does a great job of picking and choosing his opportunities.
Ethan Erickson Ethan Erickson 6'1" | SG Forest Hills Northern | 2021 State MI (SG, Forest Hills Northern)
Erickson can draw ooohhs and ahhhs from the crowd. He can get hot from deep, and when he does, he can control a game.
Ryan Grantham Ryan Grantham 6'4" | SG Grand Rapids Catholic | 2021 State MI (SF, Grand Rapids Catholic)
Grantham has always been an elite shooter. But now, he’s an elite shooter with the confidence in his shot to match.
Blake Lund Blake Lund 6'1" | CG Linden | 2021 State MI (CG, Linden)
Lund is a terrific all around player, but let’s remember what put him on the map all those years ago. It was the fact that the young man can put points on the board.
Keyon Menifield Keyon Menifield 6'2" | PG Flint Beecher | 2021 State MI (PG, Flint Beecher)
Menifield might be known for his crazy handles and athleticism, but he’s so much more than that. He was regularly filling it up from all levels with his jumper this fall.
Brody Parker Brody Parker 6'0" | CG Troy | 2021 State MI (CG, Troy)
Parker is a lightning bolt of a shooter. If you give him a couple looks at the rim, it could ruin your night on the court. He releases the ball quickly and shoots at a high percentage.
Josh Rechsteiner Josh Rechsteiner 6'1" | CG Grand Blanc | 2021 State MI (SG, Grand Blanc)
His shooting this summer and fall just couldn’t be ignored. Rechsteiner can flat out fill it up.
Trip Riemersma Trip Riemersma 6'4" | SG Zeeland East | 2021 State MI (SG, Zeeland East)
I’ve always been very high on Trip Riemersma Trip Riemersma 6'4" | SG Zeeland East | 2021 State MI , and his shooting stroke is a big reason why. He’s always had range well beyond the arc.
Aidan Rubio Aidan Rubio 6'6" | SF Goodrich | 2021 State MI (SF, Goodrich)
Rubio is similar to Menifield, in that they are better known for their superior athleticism. But after watching Rubio bury jumpers from all over the court at multiple showcases this fall, he has to be on this list.
Will Smythe Will Smythe 6'4" | SG Orchard Lake St. Mary's | 2021 State MI (SG, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s)
Smythe flat out went off the summer and fall. He put his name in the mix to be called the best pure shooter in Michigan. Based on his most recent performances, I can’t think of a great argument against it.
