I arrived on Day 3 so the action had already been going heavy, in this article, a follow up to our first impressions article, we take a look at some of the standouts from our second day of the Mini Bubble.
Milos Uzan 6’3 PG Prolific Prep 2022 – Uzan is quickly starting to fall into the stockriser category. He looked stronger and more athletic than when I last saw him. I have seen him play 100’s of times, but have never seen him play with the athleticism and explosion he played with today. He had a vicious lean-in dunk in traffic which would have shut the gym down if it was packed. As per usual he showed a deft handle and the ability to lead a squad. Prolific looks dangerous and his ballhandling and leadership is a big reason why.
Stefan Todorvich 6’8 SF Prolific Prep 2021 – He looks a little like the late great Drazen Petrovic in the face. His game looks like him as well. He shoots it with range and has a solid wiggle, which allows him to create separation from defenders. He is also an above-average athlete that was able to finish over the rim in transition.
Denim Dawson Denim Dawson 6'5" | SF Orange Lutheran | 2021 State CA-S 6’5 SG Rangers Basketball 2021 – Dawson is a smooth offensive player. He is more scorer than shooter, but he can’t be left open. He also has some craftiness to his game, using shot fakes and hesitations to keep defenders off balance.
Benny Gealer Benny Gealer 6'1" | PG Rolling Hills Prep | 2022 State CA-S 6’0 SG Ranger 2022 – Trigger alert! Gealer has crazy confidence and the game to match. A knockdown shooter with some wiggle in his game, he was able to get to the rim using ball fakes and change of pace dribbles. He was unconscious from the corner knocking down several key 3’s and finished with 22 to help his Rangers squad escape with a hard-fought victory.
Adem Bona 6’10 C Prolific Prep 2022 – Sometimes it’s a simple game. Bona ran the floor caught and finished. He has an advanced frame and used it to carve out space and power home several thunderous dunks.
