Here were some of the senior standouts of the three games:
Denim Dawson Denim Dawson 6'5" | SF Orange Lutheran | 2021 State CA-S Rangers Academy/CA (Pictured)
-A new age wing who can also defend multiple positions at a high level. He can hit the 3 and drive the lane scoring it a variety of ways. He had two jaw-dropping meet-me-at-the-rim blocks versus bigger forwards, showing his competitiveness. He is a natural driver and can easily take a bump and finish through contact with his left or right.
Malik Thomas Malik Thomas 6'3" | SG Damien | 2021 State #99 Nation CA-S Veritas Prep/CA
-The USC commit is arguably the top natural scorer on the Grind Session. He has a quick crossover into a pull-up that is deadly. He makes tough shots better then most on the West Coast. His strength and skill make it tough to guard him and he is a very good rebounder for position. He had 26 points and 12 rebounds.
Nathan Bittle PF/C 6’11 Prolific Prep/CA
-A long and skilled face-up 4-man. He has a smooth 3pt stroke with consistency and has some of the longest arms on the West Coast to block shots and rebound the ball. He is a sneaky good passer and can work inside to score it.
Daniel Esparza Daniel Esparza 6'2" | SG Sonora | 2021 State CA-S Veritas Prep/CA
-The Cal Poly commit was one of the top senior catch shooters for the week. He is smart and crafty but if you give him an open look, he will most likely make it from mid to the 3. He makes good reads with the ball and has been a steady performer for the Titans all year.
Alex Archer Alex Archer 6'4" | CG Cerritos | 2021 State CA-S Veritas Prep/CA
-A talented scorer is probably the third option next to Thomas and Esparza. He has a knack for getting to the FT line using his longer strides and long arms. He, like Thomas, rebounds well and blocks shots out of his area. He is very competitive and plays with a motor.
Mo Mbaye Mo Mbaye 6'8" | PF Colorado Prep | 2021 State #114 Nation CO Colorado Prep
-A fluid forward is very versatile. He can shoot it to the 3pt line and in plus rip through and create own shot. He can make a tough euro move, post you up, fall away on defender and use hook shots consistently. He gobbles up all balls in his area to rebound and can push the ball up the court plus block shots.
Zach Bloch Zach Bloch 6'2" | PG Colorado Prep | 2021 State CO Colorado Prep
-His jumper was clicking from the perimeter all week long. He has pretty form and gets good elevation when he shoots it. He can hit from mid to 3 with consistency. He does get into the lane and score it with good body control and with sneaky quickness. His skill, speed and passing ability stood out.
