The event hosted by Tim Davis features teams from 12U all the way up to High School Varsity. In this article, PH takes a look at some of the local Prospects participating in the event.
Myles Williams Myles Williams 6'2" | SG Arbor View | 2021 State NV 6’2 SG Team Rogue 2021 – Apologies to Williams for butchering the spelling of his first name. I’m happy though because I get to see one of my potential breakout players. In a unique year that is perhaps as good as it gets. Williams has shown some scoring ability in transition as well as off dribble drives.
David Estes 6’6 PF OTG 2022 – Love laying eyes on young bigs. Estes who played JV for Basic last season, adds size and length to an already long OTG roster. I’m looking for a sign of a skillset from Estes this weekend. What does he do, and how well does he do it?
Dylan Cooks 5’11 PG OTG 2023 (featured image) – Looks like I will be watching quite a few OTG games this weekend. Last time I saw Cooks, he was cooking people at our expo. The almost 6 foot PG has some blow-by ability and has shown the ability to score around the rim. Interested to see how he fares against older, stronger competition.
Cort Ballinger Cort Ballinger 5'10" | PG Bishop Manogue | 2021 State NV 5’11 PG Reno Irish 2021 – Expect Ballinger to be under heavy scrutiny from me. With the season canceled this may be one of the only opportunities I get to see the returning conference POY. Love his leadership and defense, lot of athletes in this event, let’s see how his style holds up.
Logan Howren Logan Howren 6'4" | SG Bishop Manogue | 2023 State NV 6’4 SF Reno Irish 2023 – Howren had a productive freshmen season last year. I’m excited to see where he stacks up against some of the other top players. Howren is a good R&J athlete that had no problem adjusting to Varsity basketball last season, now let’s see what area of his game he’s improved in.
David Nealy David Nealy 6'2" | SG Stranahan | 2026 #27 Nation FL 6’2 SG LV Pilots 2024 – I’ve heard a lot of good things about Richardson lately, now I’m excited to see him play. I’m just hoping he stays healthy. He’s a good driver when playing downhill in transition, what I really want to see is his explosive R&J athleticism on display.
John Mobley Jr 6’0 PG LV Pilots 2024 – JMJ is different. He has a slick wiggle to his game and has shown the ability to shoot the ball both off the bounce and in catch and shoot situations. He also shoots it from deep, I’m excited to see him go into his bag this weekend.
