2021 5’11 G Devon Junghans Devon Junghans 5'9" | PG Salina South | 2021 State KS , Salina South: Junghans is a true gamer, and is always up to the challenge to make big time plays in the deciding moments of ball games. Nothing proved truer on Friday when he drilled a huge OT forcing 3 against Central. It was one of his 7 made threes on the night and he finished with 27 points in the win.
2021 6’ G Gavin Cornelison, Frankfort: Cornelison scored 20 of his team’s 48 points including drilling the game winning 3 pointer as time expired.
The De Soto duo shines in Win over Olathe Northwest
The extremely talented duo of Wyatt Noll Wyatt Noll 6'4" | PF DeSoto | 2021 State KS and the Wyoming signee big man 7’ Nate Barnhart Nate Barnhart 6'9" | PF DeSoto | 2021 State KS scored 17 and 18 points respectively. Both were great at using their size and physicality to impact the game on both ends. Barnhart demonstrated the great touch on lefty and righty and hooks, and Noll was tremendous using his body to get angles to score the ball. The 6’3 2022 G Zaid Dajani Zaid Dajani 6'4" | CG Olathe Northwest | 2022 State KS for Olathe Northwest had a great game himself scoring 20 points in the losing effort.
Other Notables on the Night
Mill Valley Balance: Sophomore Dylan Blazer finished with 16 points, Senior Nick Mason finished with 11 points, and Sophomore Nen Matlock finished with 10 points in their impressive win over Barstow.
2022 6’2 Guard Christian Bowen-Webb Christian Bowen-Webb 6'2" | CG Bishop Miege | 2022 State KS , Bishop Miege: Bowen-Webb shot the ball really well and got great looks in the half court and in transition. He scored 15 points and snagged 3 steals.
2021 6’7 F Jack Chapman Jack Chapman 6'5" | CG Blue Valley Northwest | 2021 State KS , Blue Valley Northwest: Chapman was tremendous in BNVW’s win over Abraham Lincoln Friday, scoring 23 points and making his presence felt all over the court. He put his biggest stamps on the game with two monstrous dunks running the lanes in transition.
2021 Wing Chris Dixon, Junction City: Dixon put up a tremendous performance in Junction’s dominate win over Garden City scoring 26 points in the win doing it both in the transition game and knocking down shots along the perimeter.
