Top teams like Lyndon and Osage City, as well as those trying to turn their seasons around, are relying on depth and role players. Here are some of the top supporting cast members in the Flint Hills League:

Hadyn Bieling, senior, Council Grove:

The 0-2 Braves will try to get rolling after facing two really tough opponents to start the year. The senior Bieling, who averaged 10 points last season, tossed in 13 against Osage City. He’s a well-rounded talent, also accounting for 4.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.9 steals as a junior.

Jerrod Campbell, junior, Northern Heights:

Northern Heights is trying to fill the void of graduated all-leaguers Cameron HeimanCameronHeiman5'8" | CGNorthern Heights | 2020StateKS and Tee Preisner. The 5-foot-10 Campbell is one of only a few returners who saw action on last season’s 18-4 club. He is averaging 7.8 points per contest, and has games of 11, 10 and 9.

Joel Deters, junior, Mission Valley:

Mission Valley is trying to get untracked, and Deters is taking some of the minutes of key graduated players from last season’s 14-7 club. The 5-foot-10 junior has tallied 9 points in each of the team’s losses to top-ranked teams, Lyndon and St. Marys.
