Most of these are from the summer travel team season and fall camps. Here is our Film Room: 2022 Prospects Part 1!
Sebastian Drag (Marist)
Drag is a 6’3” strong bodied guard that brings a crafty and skilled game to the table. He isn’t the greatest athlete, but presents a sound looking three point shot and passed it well with the ball in his hands.
Ben Rygiel (St. Viator)
This 6’8” mobile four man runs the floor well. Has stretch ability being able to shoot it from mid-range and three. Brings toughness finishing through contact and is a solid area rebounder. Emerging talent that could be a D2 candidate down the road.
Chase Bonder Chase Bonder 6'6" | PF Libertyville | 2022 State IL (Libertyville)
Bonder impressed with his ability to stretch the floor at 6’6”. The face up four is a plus shooter that is a major threat off the catch from deep. Hit contested shots. Moves without the ball toward the perimeter for threes, but also cuts hard to the hoop in the half court for scores. Touch and feel inside scoring.
Jamil Wilson Jamil Wilson 6'7" | PF De La Salle | 2022 State IL (De La Salle)
Wilson is one of the more intriguing power forwards in the class. Bouncy 6’7” four that is extremely active on the offensive glass with his quick second jump. Shot blocking presence around the hoop and runs the floor well. Low-majors should be monitoring.
Nathan Bolt (Barrington)
Bolt is a 6’8” broad shouldered power forward that can stretch the floor with a smooth looking stroke off the catch. Also showed in the video some sneaky athleticism and ability to handle in the open floor.
Marquel Saleek (Willowbrook)
First look at Saleek and we liked what we saw in his highlights with Team Umoja from this past summer. Downhill attacking guard that finds a crease in the defense and hits the hole. Solid pull up shooter that at times can be a little off balance. Good athlete that is an aggressive defender with length at 6’0”.
Niel Davis Niel Davis 6'3" | SG Kenwood | 2022 State IL (Kenwood)
Davis continues to impress us each time we see him or his film. The long and angular two guard plays bigger than his 6’2” height would indicate. He is a powerful slasher that gets downhill on straight line takes. Solid mid-range pull up shooter as well.
Adidas Davis Adidas Davis 6'5" | PF Buffalo Grove | 2022 State IL (Buffalo Grove)
Davis is a 6’3” long and lanky small forward that has a feathery three point stroke. Plus shooter that connects from deep on a regular basis with a silky smooth lefty stroke with a quick release. Mixes in floaters and pushes in the open floor.
Trey Keizer Trey Keizer 6'2" | SG Timothy Christian | 2022 State IL (Timothy Christian)
Keizer is a 6’2” shooting guard that is a lights out sniper from deep. The 2022 wing can really let it fly from beyond the arc off the catch. Quick release with elevation on his shot. Tough kid that mixes in crafty finishes in the paint.
Owen Schneider (Prospect)
This 5’10” point guard does a nice job of changing gears and making tough layups in the lane. Capable shooter when left open and moves well without the ball in his hands cutting to the basket and on the perimeter.
Justin King Justin King 6'4" | PG Mascoutah | 2022 State IL (Mascoutah)
King is one of the top guards in the 2022 class in Illinois. Silky smooth ball handler that weaves in and out of traffic getting to the rim consistently both in the open floor and half court. Nice mid-range pull up and can stretch it out to three on occasion showing sound mechanics on his shot. When he is locked in King is a no doubt D1 talent.
Billy Bach Billy Bach 6'5" | PF Lyons Township | 2022 State IL (Lyons)
This 6’4” two guard presents quality size and strength on the perimeter. He is at his best when spotting up for threes where he has a free and easy release as it looks effortless coming off his hand. He works well around ball screens pulling up for shots behind them. Mixes in some crafty drives showing some toughness.
Kayden Shatzer (McHenry)
Shatzer is a 6’3” two guard. Most of the video featured his jump shot. He hit quite a few of them with his set shot that had a long release and a ton of arc.
Alex Arango (St. Viator)
This 6’2” combo guard presents long arms and is a creative ball handler. Pushes in the open floor and shows flashes as a passer threading the needle. Shot has a long release with a hitch at the top.
