Most of these are from the summer travel team season and fall camps. Here is our Film Room: 2021 Prospects Part 2!
Jake Sanders (Lakes)
This 5’10” point guard is a tough and heady guard that is always looking in the open floor to make a play ahead to a teammate. Can hit an open shot.
Grant Mason (Mt. Carmel)
This 6’2” shooting guard has flown a bit under the radar, but we were impressed with his tape. Broad shoulders, long arms, strength, and athleticism. Takes quality angles putting it on the deck to the basket. Can hit an open shot and is a solid on ball defender.
Freddie Cooper (Corliss)
Cooper is a strong and explosive 6’3” combo guard that plays above the rim when getting in the paint on drives. Crisp ball handler that can create off the bounce and that also opens up his pull up game which showed sound mechanics.
Tyler Wildermuth Tyler Wildermuth 5'10" | PG Ic Catholic Prep | 2021 IL (York)
Wildermuth is a 5’10” point guard that isn’t the most athletic prospect, but he brings toughness to the lead guard spot. Crafty layup maker making tough shots in traffic and can hit a three when given space.
Jeffrey Grace (York)
Grace is a strong bodied 6’3” point guard that plays physical when finishing in the paint. Good body control around the hoop. Can hit a shot with a solid jumper. Tough and versatile guard that does a little bit of everything including getting after it defensively.
Connor Jenkins Connor Jenkins 6'7" | SF Lincoln Way West | 2021 State IL (Lincoln Way West)
Jenkins has excellent size at 6’7” on the perimeter. Known mostly as an elite shooter from beyond the arc which was definitely featured in this video. High level shot maker from deep with his combination of accuracy and height. Also has major bounce around the hoop throwing down some big jams and showing an in between game with his improved handles.
TJ Myers (Canton)
Really enjoyed this highlight tape from the summer. In the six minute video it was apparent that Myers can really dish the rock. He makes the sound plays pushing ahead in transition along with the spectacular dishes in traffic with behind the back dimes. Outstanding passing feel and flair for the game. The competitive guard can knock down an open three point shot. At 6’2” small colleges should be on this kid!
Justin Guernsey (Pleasant Plains)
This 6’5” shooting guard from Pleasant Plains was impressive in his highlight tape. Like what we saw out of him with his clean three point stroke, bounce in transition, and ability to maneuver the ball around defenders at the cup. Small colleges should be looking into him.
Quinten Jones (Carlyle)
Was impressed with what this 6’4” small forward showed on tape. Broad shoulders and good length which played well on the defensive end. Bouncy around the hoop finishing in transition and in the paint posting up smaller defenders. Good form on his jumper especially from mid-range. Nice small college prospect.
Jack Malloy (Lake Forest)
Malloy is a small forward at 6’4” that has a clean looking shot from the perimeter which he displayed in his highlight video. He has a knack for knocking down threes. Mixed in a runner game and has quality body control around the hoop finishing nifty layups. Worth a look for small colleges.
