Charles Amo-Yartey Charles Amo-Yartey 6'3" | SF John Paul the Gre | 2021 State VA Jr. | 6’3 G | John Paul the Great ‘21
Long armed guard with good positional size. Long strider who is crafty with the ball. Effective in transition. Makes shots whether shooting off the dribble, catch and shoot, or standing still with his feet set. Attacks closeouts well. Willing passer with commendable court vision. Knows how to relocate and get open. Recognizes when he has a mismatch. Has a go-to spin move floater that he uses in the post. Can block shots. Can pass and finish with either hand. Consistently beats the first man and does a good job reading help.
Jaden Baker Jaden Baker 6'2" | SG Christchurch | 2021 State VA | 6’2 G | Christchurch ‘21
An explosive guard who likes to get out and run. Plays above the rim on both ends. Alert help defender. Has range when shooting off the bounce. Uses step backs to create space for his shot. Solid ball-handler who is adept at getting downhill in pick-and-roll scenarios. Can finish with his off-hand in traffic. Good passer. Shifty with the ball. Has some wiggle off the bounce. Vigilant defender. Strong at the point of attack. Disruptive at the basket. Dangerous in transition. Embraces contact in the lane. Finishes in many ways. Can mix it up from the in-between areas. Good positional rebounder.
Patrick Clevenger | 6’5 F | James River (Buchanan) ‘22
Pick and pop forward. Scores inside and out. Exhibits compact shot mechanics, a quick release, and holds his follow through on makes. Catch and shoot threat in transition. Hits contested shots. Relentless offensive rebounder. Good passer. Attacks closeouts and consistently finds the open man. Demonstrates good passing fundamentals. Post footwork is solid. Anticipates well on both ends. Knows how to fill the lanes in transition. Defends with active hands at the point of attack. Moves feet relatively well. Disruptive at the basket. Can finish with either hand in traffic. Moves well without the ball. Available for dump-offs.
Ridge Parks Ridge Parks 5'9" | PG Maret | 2022 MD | 5’11 G | Maret ‘22
A playmaker in transition. Has a very quick first step. Accelerates, decelerates, and changes direction quickly. Gets into the paint at will. Crafty finisher. A good spot-up shooter who can also catch-and-shoot from on the move three. Holds follow through on makes. Menacing defender on the ball.
Garrison Neal | 6’0 G | La Plata ‘22
Good rebounding guard who is shifty and efficient with the ball. Has long arms and is active defensively. Disruptive in the passing lanes. Has big feet, looks like he could still be growing. Good passer. Demonstrates a relentless motor.
Austin Smith | 6’0 G | Potomac School ‘22
Lefty. A good spot-up shooter from three. Crafty with the ball. Gets downhill consistently. Showcases touch with his off-hand when finishing around the basket. Can finish in a variety of ways around the basket.
Zion Tyson | 6’0 G | Oxon Hill ‘21
Catch and shoot perimeter threat with range and a quick release. Confident ball-handler who knows how to change speeds and use escape dribbles to create space. Good playmaker especially out of ball screens. Knows how to manipulate the defense with his eyes and utilizes ball fakes. Reliable ball-handler who consistently beats the first man. Good passer. Sees the floor. Alert help defender. Takes charges. Defends with active hands. Records deflections. Strong on-ball defender. Pickpocket.
Cephas Wilson-Bahun Cephas Wilson-Bahun 6'6" | PF John Paul the Great | 2021 State VA | 6’6 F | John Paul the Great ‘21
Long-limbed and explosive forward who plays above the rim on both ends. Tremendous leaper off one or two feet. Prideful rim-protector who covers ground quickly and showcases instinctive timing. Alert, intelligent help defender. Takes charges. Can hit standstill threes if left open. Comfortable attacking from the high post. Uses the triple threat effectively to create space. Length enables him to shoot and finish over the top of most post defenders at this level. Rebounds out of his area. Has strong hands.
