In this article we look at some of the top juniors from Southern California and Washington:
Rusell Van Bebber PF 6’7 O’Dea/WA (Pictured)
-A long and lean post forward can shoot it from mid and in and has decent post footwork to score with his back to the basket. He rebounds well in his area and is a fluid mover. He has range to the 3pt line and keeps the ball high on rebounds. He is very crafty around the hoop with either hand. He will block shots in and out of his area and he has soft touch on his FT’s.
Asjon Anderson Asjon Anderson 6'0" | PG Mt. Tahoma | 2022 State WA Mount Tahoma/WA
-A fairly athletic combo guard with a good burst. He has deep 3pt range and can get into the lane with his athletic gifts/speed and uses the floater well. He is a decent passer and he could be a scoring lead guard. A sleeper from the state of Washington
Jaxon Nap SF 6’6 Hazen/WA
-A highly skilled lefty can shoot it effortlessly. He can shoot off the catch or pull from mid to the 3pt line. He rebounds well in his area and he recently grew five inches in the last five months and he may not be done growing. He still has his guard skills and a good feel for the game but can now battle better inside. He could be a deep sleeper from WA.
Logan Stempniak Logan Stempniak 6'6" | PF Kentwood | 2022 State WA Kentwood/WA
-The lefty shooter has a clip! He rebounds well despite thinner frame and will chase down rebounds. He was one of the better shooters of his age. He has a high arcing release that looks smooth every attempt. He can drive the lane a little but is mostly a catch shooter.
Khamani Nelson Khamani Nelson 6'6" | PF Gardena Serra | 2022 State CA-S Fairfax/CA
-A long forward with good size and length. He is best driving the lane with floaters, runners and has a good layup package. He can post you up with counter moves and has wing skills and he is a decent 3pt shooter. Defensively he is best inside using length and a thicker build.
Pejan Slater PF 6’6 Santa Clarita Christian/CA
-A thick forward with good skill. He can hit the 3 and rip through and score it. He can drive down lane and spin and then finish with left or right hand. Once he has some momentum, he is hard to stop finishing through contact.
Dylan Hoyt PF 6’7 Viewpoint/CA
-A highly skilled post player can score it with the left or right hand. He can shoot it to the perimeter and throw it down occasionally but is mostly scoring on skill and post moves. His comfort zone is mid-range and in. A nice sleeper in SoCal.
