Colerain 59 @ Western Hills 96

Over the weekend I was able to catch a third game around the Cincinnati area. This time I ventured over to the west side to see Western Hills host Colerain. This game was originally supposed to be against Oak Hills, but Western Hills had to reschedule within the week and found a replacement in Colerain. Western Hills dominated this game basically from start to finish. Offensively the Mustangs shot almost 60% from the field and almost 40% from 3-point range. Leading the offense was La’Mario Ferguson who was 9-10 from the field with 20 points. Aboubacar Cisse Aboubacar Cisse 6'5" | SF Western Hills | 2022 State OH impressed as expected, knocking down a couple quick 3-pointers before deciding to attack the rim and finish through contact. The Junior wing is one of the top players in the CMAC and finished with a double-double. Zion Reynolds Zion Reynolds 6'4" | SF Western Hills | 2021 State OH impressed when he was in the game, showing off his athleticism on the fast break. On the interior, De’Antre Griffin and Mykell Beck form a nice duo at the center position for Western Hills. Beck had a monster put-back slam after a rare miss by the Mustangs. Western Hills also got seven total made 3-pointers from Jamon Norman and and Tony Burrell. While this game was not very competitive and not ideal from an evaluation setting, it was good to see a new team that I usually would not get the chance to evaluate.
