Predictions:
Dutch Fork HS (Irmo) – The Silver Foxes finished 2nd last season to Dorman HS in Class 5A.
River Bluff HS – The Gators have Myles Jenkins Myles Jenkins 6'3" | CG River Bluff | 2021 State SC and
Lexington HS – The Wildcats will rely on Cameron Scott Cameron Scott 6'6" | SG Lexington | 2024 State #23 Nation SC (2024) to lead the way.
Chapin HS – The Eagles will be right there this season and will rely on A.J. Knight A.J. Knight 5'10" | PG Chapin | 2021 State SC and Lawson Davis Lawson Davis 6'6" | PF Chapin | 2021 State SC to lead the way.
White Knoll HS – The Timberwolves will need to get some help for Jaylen Ray Jaylen Ray 6'4" | SF White Knoll | 2021 State SC to make some noise this season.
Players to Watch in the Region:
Myles Jenkins Myles Jenkins 6'3" | CG River Bluff | 2021 State SC (2021) – River Bluff HS (Prep Hoops Region Player of the Year)
Jenkins had a great summer with LMR Academy on the Grassroots Circuit. Jenkins is a physical guard who can over power players going to the basket. Jenkins is the ultimate team guy and plays the game extremely unselfish.
A.J. Knight A.J. Knight 5'10" | PG Chapin | 2021 State SC (2021) – Chapin HS
Knight made a move over to nearby Chapin HS this season from Dutch Fork HS. Knight a point guard brings toughness to the floor for Chapin HS.
Lawson Davis Lawson Davis 6'6" | PF Chapin | 2021 State SC (2021) – Chapin HS
Davis a forward roams the paint for the Eagles basketball team. Davis has the ability to play face-up to the basket.
Jaylen Ray Jaylen Ray 6'4" | SF White Knoll | 2021 State SC (2021) – White Knoll HS
Ray recently picked up a offer from Coker University (SC) (NCAA D2). Ray has been a staple here for the Timberwolves for the past few seasons.
Grayson Renner Grayson Renner 6'0" | SG River Bluff | 2021 State SC (2021) – River Bluff HS
Renner a shooting guard for the Gators will stretch the defense at times this season. Renner will help out Jenkins in guiding the Gators team this season.
Malachi Reeves Malachi Reeves 6'4" | SG River Bluff | 2021 State SC (2021) – River Bluff HS
Reaves is just another weapon in this Gators lineup for Head Coach Benjamin Lee. Reaves is a versatile player who plays out on the wing with good size.
Zavier Measmer Zavier Measmer 6'1" | SG Lexington | 2021 State SC (2021) – Lexington HS
Measmer is a new name in the Palmetto State this coming season after coming over from the Hoop State. Measmer a combo guard will be a welcomed addition to help Cameron Scott Cameron Scott 6'6" | SG Lexington | 2024 State #23 Nation SC guide the Wildcats this year.
Ansuelo Young Ansuelo Young 6'5" | SF Lexington | 2021 State SC (2021) – Lexington HS
Young was in the Lone Star State at one time and returned back home to the Palmetto State. Young played on the Grassroots Circuit this summer with Big Shots.
Houston Jones Houston Jones 6'4" | SG Dutch Fork | 2022 State SC (2022) – Dutch Fork HS
Jones a shooting guard plays for his father here on the Silver Foxes roster. Jones has great range out behind the arc.
Jarvis Green Jarvis Green 5'11" | PG Dutch Fork | 2023 SC (2023) – Dutch Fork HS
Green just helped the Silver Foxes powerhouse football program win its 5th straight Class 5A State Championship. Green a running back brings a tough minded and competitive edge to the hardwood for Head Coach Brett Jones.
Cameron Scott Cameron Scott 6'6" | SG Lexington | 2024 State #23 Nation SC (2024) – Lexington HS
Scott is one of the top freshman in the class in the Palmetto State. Scott saw plenty of action last season for the Wildcats as a 8th grader.
