With the early signing period in the books and the state of California high school basketball still in flux due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we figured now would be a good time to highlight some of the state’s available seniors. In this series we’ll provide evaluations on the best available prospects in their final season of high school competition.

Derrien Carter-HollingerDerrienCarter-Hollinger6'4" | SFFoothills Christian | 2021State, Foothills Christian - Multi-dimensional forward who has shown the IQ, handle and passing ability to play on the ball in a point-forward type of role. Best scoring attribute is in transition where he uses his length, strong lower body and touch off the glass to finish around the basket. Shot creator for teammates in the half-court setting with drive-and-kicks. Must continue to improve perimeter offensive package.

Lorenzo MarshLorenzoMarsh6'5" | SFSt. Anthony | 2021State, Long Beach Poly - Smooth shooting wing who has shown he’s willing to take and make big shots during crunch time. Has consistent deep range from multiple spots behind the arc. Long and wiry frame has room to build on and add muscle. Can attack a bad closeout and get to the rim for a finish. Needs to find a secondary offensive option whether it’s a mid-range
