Alphabetically, here are our Best of for 2020:
Best Athletic Senior
Class A - Jah’Heem LeakeJah’HeemLeake6'8" | CWest Fargo Sheyenne | 2021StateND (2021) |6-8 F| West Fargo Sheyenne – A supreme athlete who can jump out of the gym and run like a deer. Jah’Heem can do everything. He can handle the ball in the open court and make every pass. His game is very versatile as he can post up and hit the 3 and everything in between. He can also board up with the best of them. Look out for his rim-rattling slams.
Class B - Stevan GarzaStevanGarza6'2" | SGGrafton | 2021StateND (2021) |6-3 G| Grafton – If you like watching high flying two-handed dunks you better watch this player. Steven is a silky-smooth athlete who has a great vertical. His pull-up J is great, and he has amazing body control while finishing around the rim. Watching him in transition is like watching art in motion. He is also an accomplished 3-point shooter.

Best Freshman
East – Jeremiah Sem (2024) |6-1 G| Fargo North – He could be the best athlete in North Dakota. Jeremiah makes basketball plays that most of us only see on TV. He has the skills to match his athleticism.
West - Isaiah Schafer (2024) |6-1 G| Bismarck Century – A player mature beyond his years. Isaiah can do it all on offense with his well-rounded game. His effort on defense and hustle make him stand out.
Best Junior
Class A -
Treysen EaglestaffTreysenEaglestaff6'5" | SFBismarck | 2022StateND (2022) |6-5 F| Bismarck – Skilled like a guard and has the size to score in the paint. He has all the tools. Treysen makes everyone around him a better player.
Class B -
Joe Hurlburt
JoeHurlburt6'9" | PFEnderlin | 2022State#152NationND (2022) |6-10 F| Enderlin – One of the best in the Midwest. Joe has gained national attention with multiple D1 offers. He could lead in the state in rebounds and scoring.
Best Point Guard
Class A –
Deonte MartinezDeonteMartinez5'10" | PGMinot | 2021StateND (2021) |5-11 G| Minot – He is the best individual defender in North Dakota. If Deonte is guarding you, it will not be a fun night. He scores in bunches when attacking the basket, he also has a silky-smooth pull-up.
Class B -
Trey Brandt
TreyBrandt6'0" | PGBeulah | 2022StateND (2022) |6-0 G| Beulah – A true student of the game who improves every week. Trey could very well have the best fake crossover in ND. He has a timely floater that results in points.

Jacksen Moni
JacksenMoni6'9" | PFWest Fargo Sheyenne | 2021StateND (2021) |6-10 F| West Fargo Sheyenne – A great athlete who moves unbelievably well for someone 6-10. His long arms make him a nice shot blocker and rebounder. He is agile and crafty footwork. Jacksen can put it on the floor and slash to the paint. He also shoots it well from beyond the arc.
Class B -
Bronson WalterBronsonWalter6'10" | CFour Winds/Minnewaukan | 2021StateND (2021) |6-10 F| Four Winds/Minnewaukan – Disruptor and rim protector on defense. He is a big dominating force inside. Bronson has skilled post moves and footwork. He is a legitimate shooter from mid-range with a soft touch.
Best Pull-Up Jumper
Class A - Kameron Arechigo (2021) |6-2 G| Fargo South – Always in control of the pace, he is athletic enough to shoot it whenever he chooses. His shot is fluid with proper form.
Class B -
Jesse WhiteJesseWhite5'11" | PGWhite Shield | 2021StateND (2021) |5-11 G| White Shield – Great feel for the game and shoots it with no effort. Never hurried but it always getting his shot off quickly.
Best Sophomore

Alex Dvorak
AlexDvorak5'10" | PGDickinson | 2023StateND (2023) |5-11 G| Dickinson – A gamer who plays with confidence. He does not let the game come to him; Alex sets the pace. He scores, facilitates, and plays hard on defense.
SG -
Anthony DopplerAnthonyDoppler6'3" | SGBismarck Century | 2023StateND (2023) |6-4 G| Bismarck Century – Big-time shooter with unlimited range. A long player with a great feel for the game. Anthony sees the floor well and pushes the tempo.
F -
Carson BartholomayCarsonBartholomay6'6" | PFEnderlin | 2023StateND (2023) |6-6 F| Enderlin – Versatile player who can guard on the perimeter and in the post. He can shoot it, bounce it, or post up.

Darik Dissette
DarikDissette6'1" | SGMinot | 2023StateND (2023) |6-3 F| Minot – He has a long, low, and quick first step that will blow past the defense. Darik is great on the boards and a playmaker on offense and defense.
C -
Ryan EriksonRyanErikson6'8" | CBismarck Century | 2023StateND (2023) |6-8 F| Bismarck Century – A big player with a high IQ. He can hit the outside shot or play bully-ball on the block. Ryan never stops and is a nuisance on defense.
Best Stretch 4’s
Alex HuberAlexHuber6'3" | SFEdgeley/Kulm/Montpelier | 2021StateND (2021) |6-5 F| Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier – A tough player who does the little things right. He is a true stretch-4 who can score down low and stretch the floor with the 3-ball. He has some mature post moves inside and a quality outside shot.
Evan Ulrich
EvanUlrich6'7" | CNew Rockford-Sheyenne | 2021StateND (2021) |6-7 F| New Rockford/Sheyenne – He is a post player who can score inside, but he can also fill it up from the perimeter. Evan has a good base and shoots it smoothly and soft.
Gus HurlburtGusHurlburt6'7" | PFEnderlin | 2022StateND (2022) |6-8 F| Enderlin – A player who can score from all over the court. Gus can score from the post, mid-range, and hit 3’s. Gus is cashing in 3’s at a high clip so far this season.
Best Three and D
Class A –
Gunner SwansonGunnerSwanson6'5" | SFBismarck | 2021StateND (2021) |6-5 F| Bismarck – An exceptional 3-point shooter with great feet and form. He is a versatile player that can defend all over the court. Gunner can score, rebound, and defend. His length, athleticism, and IQ make him a stellar defender.
Class B –
Colton KonschakColtonKonschak6'5" | SGHatton/Northwood | 2021StateND (2021) |6-4 G| Hatton/Northwood – His 3-point shooting range extends well beyond the college line. He has a great textbook looking shot with an effortless release. Colton has great on-ball defense that can pick your pocket. He also is solid off the ball with exceptional help side.
Class B -
Jayden YanktonJaydenYankton6'1" | SGFour Winds/Minnewaukan | 2022StateND (2022) |6-1 G| Four Winds/Minnewaukan – He is a relentless defender who never stops. Jayden will press full court and pick off passes or lock up in the half-court. A pure shooter who has an unlimited range. He can shoot the lights out from beyond the arc.
