5’9 PG Dominique Daniels of TMG Prep Academy 2021
Daniels had a solid performance at this event and showed that he belongs on the 2021 Division I radar.
He’s a strong and athletic point guard with a nice all-around package. He can impact the game at both ends.
Daniels is a confident ball handler who can run a team. He has the ability to make plays for himself and others, both on the break and in the half court. He is a consistent driver/penetrator who makes pretty good decisions once he gets in the lane.
He is a solid on-ball defender who can pressure the opponent and make things difficult for him.
6’0 PG Angelo Gil of Mission Bay HS/Buc’s Basketball 2023
Gil is another young prospect who has not had the “face time” in front of coaches. But things will change for him once they watch him
He is a very confident one man with a high IQ who can run a team. He makes pretty good decisions for the most part.
Gil is a very good passer who drops dimes consistently. He has a unique ability to make those around him better.
He has a solid floater and a capable pull-up game in the half-court and he can get to the basket on the drive.
Gil is definitely one for coaches to follow in the class of 2023.
6’1 PG Jerry Hayes of Emerald Ridge HS (WA) Washington Supreme Purple 2021
Hayes is a point guard who brings a nice blend of athleticism and skills to the table
He’s a smooth ball handler who is effective attacking and making plays in transition on a consistent basis.
He pulls up well in the mid-range in the half court. Hayes has a real nice first step on the drive/penetration and gets by defenders regularly. And he shoots it fairly well with range
There is clearly a place for him at the next level.
6’2 CG Riles Neff of St. Bonaventure HS (CA)/Team Build UP 17U 2021
Neff is a very productive combo guard who gets a whole lot done. And he has a nice understanding of the game and a good motor.
He attacks on the break and sees the floor well. He is really good at making the decision to go all the way himself or making the money pass to a teammate.
Neff is a confident shooter who takes good shots and he has a very competent floater. His deceptive first step allows him to get by defenders on the drive.
He will fit in nicely at the college level for somebody.
6’1 SG Tony Njia of San Marcos HS (CA)/Team Build UP 17U 2021
Njia is an athletic shooting guard who excels on the fast break, both by pulling up for the long range shot and by going all the way to the hoop and finishing.
He’s a capable ball handler and he has deep range on his shot. And he is not afraid to take the big shot when the money is on the line.
Njia can rebound the ball and dose show some potential at the defensive end.
He is a nice prospect for the next level.
