Bennett McCormick – Catholic Memorial – 2023: McCormick sits at eighth in the class rankings. Against Waukesha North, he proved his talent is legitimate. His transition skill resonated with me. He went baseline to baseline a handful of times, which either ended in a layup for him or kick-started Memorial’s offense. A stronger rebounder than I expected, too.
Nate Handley – Waukesha North – 2021: A long-time varsity standout pitched in 12 points in his debut. He’ll again be the focal point in North’s offense. A wing player that likes to freeze his defender with a quick move off the dribble. Saw him attack well in his debut. He also connected on a pretty pull-up to start the game.
Dylan Krause – Muskego – 2022: A player that’ll contribute heavily for Muskego this season. The junior offered up 15 points, nine of them from beyond the arc. Like his size and shooting ability. Wouldn’t be surprised if he breaks out onto our radar this season.
Greyton Gannon – Mukwonago – 2022: My first time watching this Mukwonago team, and they picked up a solid win over Waukesha South. Gannon finished with a team-high 19 points but missed a few bunnies early that could’ve pushed his total into the 20s. He’s their offensive centerpiece, doing dirty work with physical attacks on the block and consistent visits to the free-throw line.
Luke Pautz – Roncalli – 2022: Pautz dropped an easy 34 points and 18 rebounds in his opener. What’s most impressive is his dedication to both ends. Defensively, he’s a scrappy, gritty defender that’s active in gaps. A magnet to the ball, he’ll be there on the glass on every missed shot, too. An interesting prospect for schools to consider, especially if the stats continue in this direction.
Antuan Nesbitt Antuan Nesbitt 6'4" | SF Racine | 2021 State WI – The Prairie School – 2021: Nesbitt put up 32 in his opener, a strong start to a key year in his recruitment. The narrow, slippery forward governed the paint on offense. He’s a stud attacking the hoop, able to burst through every gap. He showed off his hop-step and euro-step, and also flushed in a handful of dunks.
