B.J. Hooper B.J. Hooper 6'2" | CG Prosper Rock Hill | 2023 State TX – Shooting Guard – Irving MacArthur – 2023
B.J. Hooper B.J. Hooper 6'2" | CG Prosper Rock Hill | 2023 State TX ’s ability to score the basketball is his biggest strength. This pure scorer nailed his first two shot attempts from 3-point range, hitting nothing but the bottom of the net; the first made shot coming off the right-wing and the second coming from deep in the left corner. Hooper also shocked the crowd when he showed off his athleticism in the third quarter when he jumped a pass on defense, took it down the court, rose up, and threw down a handed slam that electrified the gym. It doesn’t matter how many points B.J. Hooper B.J. Hooper 6'2" | CG Prosper Rock Hill | 2023 State TX scores, he’ll always make sure his presence is felt.
Adam Kirby – Point Guard – Woodrow Wilson – 2022
Starting point guard for Woodrow Wilson, Adam Kirby, began to heat up in the second quarter, draining 3-pointers from all around the perimeter. Kirby has a sweet stroke, every time he snaps his wrist you can expect the shot to fall, he can get the ball out of his hands quick, fast, and in a hurry whether it’s a pull-up or a spot-up jumper. His lights out shooting in the second quarter saved his team from going into halftime down double digits, unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to get the victory but Adam Kirby’s performance throughout the game stood out.

Jackson Prince Jackson Prince 6'0" | SG Duncanville | 2023 State TX is a prospect to keep track of, he’s starting to come into his own as a player and his confidence is through the roof, it’s what sets him apart and will take him far in this game.
Denton Guyer 63 Lakeview Centennial 60
Connor Newton – Point Guard – Denton Guyer – 2023
Denton Guyer starting point guard, Connor Newton had an impressive performance in the road win against Lakeview Centennial. He showed the heart, the IQ, and the skills to be extremely effective on the floor, a savvy ballplayer that can run an offense and set his teammates up with good shots. Connor did a spectacular job of pulling down rebounds on defense and starting the fast break which led to several scoring opportunities for his team. A shifty ball-handler with lightning speed and tightly controlled ball skills, there’s not many guys if any at all, that can pick his pocket, Newton displayed slick counter moves that kept him a step ahead of his defenders at all times. He has elite handles, can make any move, and get to any spot on the floor without over-dribbling. Often an efficient shooter, he knocked down 2 of his first 3, 3-point attempts. A terrific quick-trigger jump shooter with perfect mechanics, release point, elevation, and form that are all right on point. This Sophomore is dedicated to becoming one of the best point guards in the city, I can’t quite put my finger on it yet but there’s something special about him, remember the name, Connor Newton.
