Highland Park 67 vs Lewisville 65
Kylin Green Kylin Green 6'0" | PG Lewisville | 2021 State TX – Point Guard – Lewisville – 2021
All-district Senior point guard, Kylin Green Kylin Green 6'0" | PG Lewisville | 2021 State TX , came to play and gave a top-notch effort as he always does. This leader got his team started by grabbing a rebound over Highlands center, pushing the ball the court, and making the bounce pass that led to an open layup. The next possession Kylin hustled back down the court then jumped a pass and proceeded to score off a timely cut to the hoop, producing the first two buckets for Lewisville. His pull-up game was consistently deadly, particularly around the free-throw line area, Green can quickly stop on a dime and rise to the occasion. This high motor guy was extremely active, it was highly impressive to see a 6-foot point guard box out, leap up, and snag the ball out the air over 6’5 forwards and centers that were much bigger and much taller players than him. He showed a remarkable nose for the ball that allowed him to lead his team in rebounds throughout the first half. Kylin pulled down boards right off the rim and pushed the pace, he even grabbed a few offensive rebounds. Green’s effort plays on the boards and defense helped keep the score tight, just an all-around phenomenal effort, diving out of bounds for loose balls, his second-chance buckets, and knack for wreaking havoc on defense was a vital piece for Lewisville as well. When things got tough Kylin got going, he took the game into his own hands and fought to keep the lead as close as possible. In the third quarter, Kylin Green Kylin Green 6'0" | PG Lewisville | 2021 State TX ’s dribble penetration skills and instincts were on full display and couldn’t be stopped by anybody in the building, showing elite strength, footwork, and explosiveness. His killer instinct towards the end of the game was highly impressive, Kylin made incredibly impactful plays in the closing moments of the game in an attempt to fight back from being down double digits, finding ways to make difficult clutch shots through contact in crunch time. Kylin Green Kylin Green 6'0" | PG Lewisville | 2021 State TX had one of the most outstanding and impressive performances I witnessed all week and if he would’ve gotten the ball for the final shot I believe he would’ve made the game-winner. Lewisville’s point guard was hands down the best basketball player in the gym, although they suffered a heartbreaking loss he was still the MVP of the game.

’s athleticism was on full display, everybody knew to get out of the way when he came down the lane or they would become apart of his highlight reel. Manny’s entire skillset was just on another level, it was clear that the game has completely slowed down for him to the point where he can do anything on the floor, make any move, any shot, and do it all at his own pace, he looked as if he was moving in slow motion while everybody else was going full speed. Incredibly crisp, tight, and precise footwork and ball skills, some of the moves had made were on a pro-level. This dynamic guard made some of the best defenders in the city look silly with the euro steps, crossovers, and behind he back moves he hit them with. I don’t think there are many high school players in the nation if any at all that can defend

effectively. He put up 28 points on 12-17 shooting from the field, with 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and a block. Not only was Manny the major key in the come back to win after being down by 20 points at the half, but Obaseki also hit the game-winning shot off of a running floater at the buzzer to steal the victory for his Cardinals.

was just coming off a game days earlier against Red Oak where he put up 22 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, got 5 steals, and 4 assists. In this one, Walsh decided to outdo himself, playing out of his mind and dropping 28 points, 17 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals against 2021’s top-ranked point guard, Texas A&M commit,

, and his Lancaster Tigers. As usual, Jordan’s defense was at its best, he has such a wide wingspan and he used it very well when shutting guys down on the perimeter and protecting the basket. Lancaster couldn’t match his length or athleticism and Jordan took advantage of it, dominating the glass from the tip to the final buzzer. The Faith Family forward pulled down boards like they were meant for him, he even had a mean putback dunk where he nearly pulled down the rim. This young man put on a dunk show, giving us some great rim rockers that had the crowd going wild. He caught lobs and gave us a sweet windmill slam dunk on the fast break. Jordan Walsh threw down 7 dunks, proving that he can leap out of the gym with the best of them. Every single time he rose up to throw one down his head was above the rim, sometimes he jumped so high up it looked as if he wasn’t coming back down. This D1 prospect, showed and proved to be effective in every aspect of the game, Jordan has had a big season before but it looks like this might be his biggest year.

Mahmoud is on his way to becoming the best shooter of his class in the state of Texas. Nazar Mahmoud Nazar Mahmoud 6'3" | SG Rouse | 2023 State #256 Nation TX already looks like one of the most improved players of the year, he’s a pure shooting specialist that’s starting to turn into an all-around scoring threat.
Sachse 76 vs Arlington 56
R.J. Chatman R.J. Chatman 5'10" | PG Sachse | 2023 State TX – Point Guard – Sasche – 2023
R.J. Chatman R.J. Chatman 5'10" | PG Sachse | 2023 State TX has been in his bag and playing at a high level since game one, getting buckets as well as wins. This past week he absolutely lit Arlington High School up on the scoreboard, knocking down jumpers all over the court even showing off some range by making a couple of catch and shoot jump shots from the logo. Chatman nailed 3 first-half 3-pointers, he was an absolute terror out there, Arlington didn’t have an answer for his dribble penetration skills and his ability to get open without the ball. R.J. Chatman had all kinds of ways of getting to the basket by using screens, his elite blow-by speed, and his crafty crossover moves. He drew the attention of the defense and dished the ball out from under the basket when they collapsed in on him. After a 27 point game earlier in the week, he finished this competition with 19 points, 4 assists, 4 steals, and 2 boards, making him a notable player of the week.
