Duncanville 80 vs Mesquite Horn 56
Sean Moning – Shooting Guard – Mesquite Horn
Sean Moning scored the first two baskets for his Mesquite Horn squad, the first bucket came from making a sharp timely cut through the lane off the right-wing, the very next possession he hustled down the court in transition, got open in the corner, and knocked down a 3-pointer. Although they were down by 30 points in the fourth quarter, Moning wasn’t going to go down easily, he continued to stay aggressive by attacking the basket relentlessly, looking for the foul call even picking up the and-one call a time or two. He went on to finish with 9 points in the final quarter of the game. Sean Moning showed some promise with the way he played against Texas’s top-ranked Duncanville team, he’s a player to keep track of going forward.

– Point Guard – Irving MacArthur
CJ Booker CJ Booker 5'8" | PG Arlington Seguin | 2022 State TX played with great chemistry with his teammates from the jump especially, Marcus Rigsby Marcus Rigsby 6'2" | SG Irving MacArthur | 2021 State TX , who Booker made a quick pass to for an easy layup off of their pick-and-roll play to open the game. A true, pure floor general, CJ Booker CJ Booker 5'8" | PG Arlington Seguin | 2022 State TX is one of the most complete point guards North Texas has to offer. He plays with the ultimate motor, he has limitless energy, can get his own shot, create for others, run plays to perfection, and he can play without the ball by getting open beyond the arc and hitting his 3-point shots at a high rate.
Deshawn Jagwan – Forward – Woodrow Wilson
Highly skilled big body forward that can put the ball on the floor, push the tempo, pass out of the post, and get to the basket. Very skilled ball-handler, Jagwan was the point forward for his team, most of the offense run through him first. Deshawn’s offensive skills and instincts were very impressive, he has a great feel and understanding of how to play basketball, and he knows how to let the game come to him. Deshawn Jagwan was a freight train coming down the lane, he proved to have the capability of scoring with finesse as well as power, showing a quality balance between the two.

– Combo Guard – Frisco Wakeland
Knockdown shooter Michael Niemann Michael Niemann 6'1" | SG Frisco Wakeland | 2022 State TX was on fire out there, absolutely scorching the nets, he hit shots that killed the momentum for the Mustangs over and over again. Niemann was insanely quick off the bounce, pressure defense didn’t phase him one bit as he crossed defenders over using his most lethal counter moves, and then he either found an open teammate or finished the play with a pull-up jumper or layup. His decision making is just as quick as his ball skills, Michael can drop dimes and hit open guys while on the move with accurate passes. I like Michael Niemann Michael Niemann 6'1" | SG Frisco Wakeland | 2022 State TX ’s game, he plays with a killer instinct, he doesn’t get rattled, and he can be as efficient as they come.
Boswell 33 vs Flower Mound 39
Dominick Etheridge – Point Guard – Boswell
Boswell’s Junior point guard, Dominick Etheridge played an all-around game, contributing in every way possible. He played solid defense and ran the point guard position well, penetrating off the dribble and kicking it out to open teammates on the perimeter, and not making many mistakes or turning the ball over much. An important thing to take note of about Dominick Etheridge is that he’s a true student-athlete, getting it done on court as well as in the classroom, last season he was even recognized for his hard work in the classroom when he was awarded the Academic All-District honor.
