After storming the court as freshmen, these sophomores are ready for another varsity year. This crowd is a mixed bag some are national names adding to their resume others are building a following. Here’s week one’s top performers.

Mark Rucha | Richland

Rucha’s shooting placed him on my radar this summer, and it’s keeping him here this season. His three point shooting spaces the floor and with a keen sense for finding shooting pockets in the defense. This summer the two-year varsity letterman showed diversity in his scoring.

Steffe didn’t have his best shooting night, but it’s the way he got his shots that put him on this list. The 6-5 has excellent footwork whether shooting off the dribble or the catch. He’s a versatile scorer, and the bag will only get deeper as he progresses. The sophomore also showcased his passing with 7 assists later in the week.
