The Wing Man Report tackles NCISAA Hoops as it kicks off this past week. Here’s a look at the latest happenings in private school hoops in North Carolina.

[player_tooltip player_id="947287" first="Trey" last="Green"] Continues to Grow

A lot has been said about [player_tooltip player_id="992474" first="Mikey" last="Williams"] at Lake Norman Christian but his backcourt mate, [player_tooltip player_id="947287" first="Trey" last="Green"], is just as lethal. Green and Williams are emerging as a top backcourt so far in the state after knocking off The Burlington School, 91-79, this past weekend. While Williams made a statement with 40 points on 13-of-20 shooting, so did Green with 25 points, including six 3-pointers. It helps Williams is ranked No. 1 in the class of 2023 and Green is No. 11 but one is certainly making their case that they may not be ranked high enough.

The duo overcame 23 points from [player_tooltip player_id="838021" first="Jamarii" last="Thomas"] and 22 points from Howard commit [player_tooltip player_id="838020" first="Kuluel" last="Mading"] as well. A backcourt matchup that many are asking for: [player_tooltip player_id="992474" first="Mikey" last="Williams"] & [player_tooltip player_id="947287" first="Trey" last="Green"] vs. [player_tooltip player_id="854888" first="Robert" last="Dillingham"] & [player_tooltip player_id="947288" first="Jaylen" last="Curry"] of Combine Academy. That would make for an entertaining game.

[player_tooltip player_id="854884" first="Bryce" last="Cash"] Making Early Noise

Picking up where left off this summer with Team Curry, [player_tooltip player_id="854884" first="Bryce" last="Cash"] is making waves with Charlotte Christian. He posted 23 points, seven rebounds and six assists in a 72-65 victory over Rabun Gap and a top 2022 prospect in Nate Brafford this past weekend. Brafford finished with 29 points, 10 rebounds, three blocks and three steals. Cash showed off his ability to do multiple things with his size and strength at 6-foot-5 as the Knights are off to a 2-0 start to the season. College coaches would be wise to track him now. He holds an offer from Liberty. Next up for them: United Faith Christian on Dec. 1.

He should prove to be a solid piece alongside [player_tooltip player_id="932129" first="Xavier" last="McKelvy"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1111219" first="Marcus" last="Willis"].

2022 guard [player_tooltip player_id="1062097" first="Malachi" last="Travis"]: Travis looks comfortable leading the way for New Life Christian with 27 points on 8-of-12 shooting in a victory over Village Christian this past Friday.
