Northeast
Isaiah Farrior Isaiah Farrior 6'5" | SG Clarksville Northeast | 2021 State TN
Absurd bounce. Farrior can play elite perimeter defense, though his focus out there wanes a touch. When he hunkers down there really are not many better statewide. Farrior’s hops and explosion remain elite by Tennessee high school standards. As his outside shot continues to improve his options will increase.
Marcus Averhart Marcus Averhart 6'2" | CG Clarksville Northeast | 2021 State TN
The senior Marcus is so physically gifted. Averhart changes speeds wonderfully. Thankfully he is not only athletic, because it would be a true shame to watch a lean, lithe combo guard like him squander such potential. Marcus is not squandering anything though. His speed and length provide just the foundation for star. Averhart skipped up the floor against Beech with a stunning fluidity. In the third quarter, Averhart caught fire first with a pull-up jumper in transition. Then, Averhart knocked down a challenged three and cheered on his teammates for forcing a turnover.
Clarksville
J.J. Wheat J.J. Wheat 6'0" | PG Clarksville | 2022 State TN
Blazing speed. JJ is much more powerful this fall than he was six months ago. The natural physical maturation of JJ is helping him become not just skilled but also a little physically imposing. The handle is still wonderful. He is more wise with his passes and though he turns some over, the intended targets are clever. With bigs he will be dynamic. Wheat is a killer in the open floor. His only true shortcoming is shot discipline. It will work itself out as he starts to play with elite scorers at the next level.
Kenwood
Quentavius Barnes
Absurd bounce. Less than two minutes into their Tuesday game, Barnes recovered defensively, soared above a layup attempt and pinned the ball off the window. Barnes is perhaps a touch short for an off-guard, but his athleticism is ridiculous. It helps him attack among the trees.
Jaylen Washington
Jaylen uses his athleticism in a variety of ways. He snaps hard, crisp passes from the top of the key to either side. Washington initiates the offense and serves as the tip of the Kenwood Knight spear.
