Trey Jenkins Trey Jenkins 6'5" | SG Bradford | 2021 State WI (6’4 2021 SG, Kenosha Bradford)- Trey saw time at the varsity level as a sophomore before transferring to Huntington Prep for his junior season. Now he’s back at Kenosha Bradford, and looks like one of the top prospects in the conference. He has great length for a guard at 6’4, long arms, is a solid athlete, and is a danger knocking down threes off the dribble. Defensively he can guard multiple spots, and since Bradford doesn’t have a lot of size he may have to guard the 2-5 at times. If Trey can put together a strong senior year, Bradford will be competitive in the SEC.
Vinko Polovic Vinko Polovic 6'7" | PF Franklin | 2021 State WI (6’7 2021 W, Franklin)- I’ve had the chance to witness Vinko’s progression since the spring at open runs, workouts, AAU film, and fall leagues, and he is one of the most improved players in the state. He has an intriguing skillset at 6’7 that allows him to play multiple positions, and he’s improved as an athlete over the past 8 months. Vinko could play in the post at the high school level, but I think he projects on the wing as he can handle the ball, moves well for his size, and can shoot it from deep. I’ve also seen Vinko run the point a bit during fall play. Look for him to make a major increase on his 3.2 points per game from last winter.
Dontrell Bush Dontrell Bush 6'1" | SG Racine Horlick | 2022 WI (6’2 2022 G, Racine Horlick)- Horlick will look to improve upon their last place finish in the SEC last year, and Dontrell will be one of their go to players this winter. He’s shown a lot of flashes of potential, and it will be interesting to see if he can put it all together consistently as a junior. Dontrell has solid length and athleticism, can get to the basket at will, and has a knack for making a flashy assist. Bush averaged 8.1 ppg as a sophomore, and if he can limit turnovers and hit the outside shot consistently, he could see that average grow.
Trey Cardona (5’10 2021 PG, Kenosha Tremper)- Tremper graduated two of the top scorers in the conference from last year, and it will be up to Trey to try and replace some of that production. In Tremper’s last game of the season, missing their leading scorer, Trey stepped up big for 29 points including the game winner to put Tremper one game away from the state tournament. In fall league Trey has already hit two game winners, and has been scoring in a variety of ways. He’s a threat from beyond the arc, but is also a crafty finisher around the rim for a player his size. Add in quickness with the ball and the vision to make difficult passes, and Trey could be a breakout point guard.
Tyvon Cade (6’ 2023 G, Racine Park)- Tyvon is a big bodied guard who saw significant playing time at the varsity level last season as a freshman. This year he returns as one of the only players with experience for Park, and will look to improve upon his 8 ppg from last winter. Tyvon is a running back for the football team and has a strong frame that he uses to get in the paint and bully smaller guards to finish inside. Park has a few transfers from out of state, as well as a talented freshman coming in, so look for Tyvon to help the inexperienced squad improve upon their record from last year.
Adam Bruins (6’4 2021 F, Oak Creek)- Oak Creek will have one of the top 2021 guard duos in the area with Jasin Sinani Jasin Sinani 6'3" | SG Oak Creek | 2021 State WI and Kael Stulo Kael Stulo 6'1" | CG Oak Creek | 2021 State WI , and Adam Bruins will be relied upon to provide frontcourt production for Oak Creek. At 6’4 he has some solid length, but is also mobile enough to guard on the perimeter and take opponents off the dribble from the wing. Offensively he’s at his best stretching the floor shooting the ball, and that allowed him to average 7.5 ppg last year.
Tre’Vion Gordon Tre’Vion Gordon 6'2" | SG Kenosha Bradford | 2021 WI (6’2 2021 G, Kenosha Bradford)- Tre is another player who I’ve gotten to see improve this off-season during workouts, open runs, fall leagues, etc… and he looks ready to make a name for himself as a senior. He was ready to take on a bigger role last year, but ended up struggling with an injury. Now he looks fully healthy and is even more explosive around the rim, making him a dangerous finisher around the rim. He can attack from the wing, or score in transition finishing above the rim or contorting his body in the air for crafty lay-ups. Tre also looks like an improved perimeter shooter, which should allow him to improve upon his 6.1 ppg from last year.
