Kejohn Atkins might have been one of the most overlooked playmakers at the showcase and he ran the point guard position efficiently for Leadership Prep. Atkins is an excellent ballhandler and he is extremely quick. He often blows by his man and makes the defender in help decide between him and his original man. If Atkins would make the defender step up he would hit his big man with beautiful dump-off passes. He also makes nice wraparound passes when necessary and has the ability to make tough passes look easy.

Although Manny Obaseki Manny Obaseki 6'3" | SG John Paul II | 2021 State #47 Nation TX took over late in John Paul II’s win over TACA, he still showcased his excellent basketball I.Q. and passing ability when he had the chance. Obaseki has a great balance between passing and scoring and typically makes the right play. Once he gets to the paint he either rises up and finishes at the rim or finds a shooter on the perimeter. He also feeds the post when he has the chance.
Wade Taylor Wade Taylor 6'0" | PG Lancaster | 2021 State #103 Nation TX – Lancaster – G
Taylor is a well-rounded point guard and passing comes easy to him. He has great composure and he doesn’t really ever make crazy passes that are hard to catch. Taylor’s passes are accurate and timely. He has the ability to throw fullcourt passes with great accuracy at any given time and he doesn’t telegraph his passes. Taylor is also a good passer in the halfcourt and is never selfish.

Here is yet another player that is known as a scorer that made the best passers list for the RJ Hampton Showcase. When Tyson isn’t scoring over his defender, he is getting his teammates involved and making smart passes that ultimately make him one of the most complete wings in DFW. In John Paul II’s win, Tyson threw a great lob in the first half and made sure everyone in the gym knew that he isn’t just a scorer. He also threw some great passes to his center, Cameron Corhen Cameron Corhen 6'9" | C Sunrise Christian | 2022 #106 Nation KS , and kept him involved.
