With a D1 signee and one of the top juniors in the state, 3A is loaded this year. In this article, we take a look at the returning scoring leaders from the 3A conference.
Ethan Speaker Ethan Speaker 6'6" | SF Boulder City | 2021 State NV 6’6 SF Boulder City 2021 (#7PHN 2021) (featured image) – The newly minted Arkansas Little Rock signee is also the leading returning scorer in the 3A conference. Speaker can do it from the inside as well as on the perimeter. He leads the way averaging over 25ppg.
Michael Klekas Michael Klekas 6'3" | SF Elko | 2022 State NV 6’3 SF Elko 2022 (#9PHN 2021) – The versatile forward did it efficiently last season. Klekas shot over 50% from the field nearly 40% from behind the arc and over 72% from the line. His 24ppg powered Elko to the 3A state title game.
Lucas Walker Lucas Walker 5'11" | 155 lbs | PG Moapa Valley | 2021 State NV 5’11 PG Moapa Valley 2021 (#46PHN 2021) – Walker and his 21ppg returns. The scoring PG is a dynamic playmaker that does a great job of setting up teammates, however, his bucket getting ability lands him on this list.
Andrew Lehmann Andrew Lehmann 5'11" | SG South Tahoe | 2022 State NV 5’10 PG South Tahoe 2022 (#23PHN 2022) – Lehmann is a multi-sport star and a scoring machine. When not hitting home runs or serving aces, the sharpshooting PG averaged nearly 17ppg last season.
Carson Kingston Carson Kingston 6'3" | SG Fernley | 2022 State NV 6’2 SG Fernley 2022 (#38PHN 2022) – Kingston had some big games last season including a 29 point game against Truckee and a 30 point explosion versus North Valleys. These games went a long way in him putting together a 16ppg season last year.
Matt Morton Matt Morton 6'5" | SF Boulder City | 2021 NV 6’5 SF Boulder CIty 2021 (#30PHN 2021) – Speaker doesn’t do it alone for Boulder. Morton is a skilled wing with several playmaking skills. It’s not unusual to see him facilitating, however, don’t forget his ability to put the ball in the basket. The 6’5 point forward averaged just over 15ppg.
Will Barnum Will Barnum 6'0" | PG Virgin Valley | 2021 State NV 6’0 PG Virgin Valley 2021 (#87PHN 2021) – Barnum was one of the most consistent scorers in the conference. He scored double digits in 16 games last year on his way to averaging over 14ppg.
