With back-to-back state Champions Churchill County losing several key starters, the 3A state title seems to be as wide open as any. With a D1 signee and one of the top juniors in the state, 3A is loaded this year. In this article, we take a look at the returning rebounders from the 3A conference.
Ethan Speaker Ethan Speaker 6'6" | SF Boulder City | 2021 State NV 6’6 SF Boulder City 2021 (#7PHN 2021) – Usual suspect here. Speaker was a tremendous player last year and he impacted the game in more ways than simply scoring. The Arkansas Little Rock signee also led 3A pulling down 11 boards per game last year.
Michael Klekas Michael Klekas 6'3" | SF Elko | 2022 State NV 6’3 SF Elko 2022 (#9PHN 2022) (featured image) – The versatile forward did it all for Elko last season, and that included rebounding. One of the few players in the state to average a double-double, Klekas pulled down nearly 11 rebounds per game last season.
Caleb Hunter Caleb Hunter 6'4" | PF North Valleys | 2021 NV 6’4 PF North Valleys 2021 – Hunter is a high volume rebounder returning for his senior season. He averaged almost 10 boards per game last season but also had 12 games with at least 10 rebounds or more.
Tyler Stolfich 6’3 C Dayton 2021 – Stolfich is a big physical post that carves out space for his rebounds. He had a few monster games last season including a 14 rebound performance against Lowry on his way to averaging over 8 boards per game.
Matt Morton Matt Morton 6'5" | SF Boulder City | 2021 NV 6’5 SF Boulder City 2021 (#30PHN 2021) – It comes as little surprise to find Morton on this list. The Versatile forward played a supporting role behind Speaker, however, he is capable of putting up massive numbers on his own. He was second on the team in rebounding but is one of the leading returners in the conference averaging 8 per game.
Logan Gavenda Logan Gavenda 6'3" | SG Parumph Valley | 2021 State NV 6’3 PF Pahrumph Valley 2021 (#90PHN 2021) – Gavenda was consistent last season. The 6’3 wing grabbed at least 3 boards in every game last year on his way to averaging nearly 7 per game.
