Here are the standout players from the ProSkills Austin Elite Workout:
2022 Class
Jaelyn Brooks Jaelyn Brooks 6'4" | SG Round Rock | 2022 State TX | G | Round Rock
A long and lean wing prospect, Brooks showed good explosiveness and shooting ability during the workout. Brooks has a smooth looking shot and did a good job at hitting shots from the mid-range, the wing, and at the top of the key.
Josh Goings | G | Salado
Goings impressed during the workout with his consistent approach to each drill and his consistent shot technique. The junior guard has a strong build, sound ball-handling skills, and can knock down shots from beyond-the-arc.
Reese Miller Reese Miller 6'0" | PG Round Rock | 2022 State TX | G | Round Rock
In a gym full of really good shooters, Miller stood out as one of the top shooters of the day with his high percentage of makes from deep. The combo-guard has a quick release and can hit from anywhere in the three-point territory.
Davean Richardson | G | Hutto
A well-built combo-guard who is on the rise for the junior class, Richardson showed his explosiveness on a couple of his dunks early in the workout, as well as his ability to nail mid-range pull-up shots and swishing shots from deep.
Antwone Gonzales | G | Killeen Shoemaker
Another really good shooter at the event, Gonzales was nailing shots from all over the place and was particularly good from the wing and corner. He was a player we didn’t know much about entering the day, but came away impressed with and is now firmly on our radar moving forward.
2023 Class
Malik Presley Malik Presley 6'6" | SF San Marcos | 2023 State #108 Nation TX | F | San Marcos
The top-ranked prospect at the workout and a top 20 player in Texas for the 2023 class, Presley looked the part of a Division-1 player. Presley has a good frame/long wingspan with the potential to keep growing, and was impressive with his footwork and shot in the mid-range.
Levi Rutledge Levi Rutledge 6'6" | SG IMG Academy Post Grad (2024) | 2023 State TX | F | Cedar Park
Another impressive looking small forward with a good frame and long wingspan, Rutledge showed just how good of a shooter he is hitting pull-up shots from the mid-range and swishing shots from beyond-the-arc with a consistent high-release point.
Kaden Gumbs Kaden Gumbs 6'2" | PG San Marcos | 2023 State TX | G | San Marcos
One of the top point guards at the event, Gumbs impressed with his precision passing, savvy ball handling, and showing he can be a knockdown shooter. Gumbs was another player who brought a consistent approach and focus to every drill.
