Defense: Chase is a solid defender for the Miners. He has long arms and he is constantly in passing lanes in order to deflect passes and push them out to begin a fast break. Against guards, he does a great job of keeping them in front and he does not allow them to get to the rim easily. He is a physical guard that uses his body to force the opposing guards away from the basket and into difficult passes. Against post players, Green holds his ground and is able to push bigs away from the block. He does a great job of using his physicality to force them away from the block and he plays with constant energy. As a rebounder, Chase does an excellent job as he averages over 5 per game from the guard position.
Offense: On the other side of the ball, Green thrives. He is an incredibly good shooter and has proven his ability to score in bunches. From outside, he has a smooth and accurate stroke that he uses to force defenders to guard him well beyond the perimeter. It is not rare to see him knock down 5 or 6 three’s in a game and once he gets hot, there is no slowing him down. If he does not shoot the ball from deep, Chase is a great scorer from mid-range, and at the rim where he can finish with both hands. He also loves to seek out contact so that he can get to the free throw line for a couple of easy points. Chase is also an underrated passer and he does a great job of getting his teammates involved if he is covered or does not have an open shot.
Overall: Altogether, Chase is a great player for the Miners. On defense, he does a great job of keeping his opponents in front and grabbing steals. On offense, Chase is a great shooter that can score at all levels. He would make a great 2-guard at the next level.
