However, the sophomores and juniors that made the team last season can play with the best players in the state regardless of class. That being said, I will list my preseason picks of who I believe will receive 1st and 2nd team all-state honors by the end of the year.
1st Team (Alphabetical order)

JP Ricks was named the most outstanding player in the class after winning a second state title in a row. You will be hard-pressed to find a player better than him in this classification. However, his teammate,

Jr., will compete with Ricks for that mantle. Jehovah-Jireh plays one of the most difficult schedules of any classification. These guys will be battle tested to end up on the first team.
Zach Parrie

has made the all-state team the last two years and has made a natural progression starting at honorable mention as a sophomore. The trend will continue this season with a first team nod.
NaShaun Reddick is in the same boat as

. He has balled out the previous two years on the class C level and this coming year will be no different. Reddick makes the first team and leads Phoenix to a deep playoff run in his last hurrah.
Wayne Huckaby

is already one of the more decorated small school athletes in baseball. He won district 4-C MVP last year and I see him repeating a similar effort to be named to the first team.

in 4-C. Nash has been one of the better players in class C since 8th grade and I see nothing hampering his improvement here. He will push for 1st team but will probably land on the second team. Epps team success may prevent Clyde Williams from making the 1st team, but his ability will not. He scored 21 ppg and he may have to up that for Epps to make a run.
Eddie Kennedy

Summerfield | 2021
State
LA
is a skilled class C big man. He can rebound, pass, and score. Even though he will have a new coach at Summerfield, his savvy and experience should help him make the 2nd team.
Blaine Perkins

is another active class C big who can shoot it from deep. He was an honorable mention for class C last season. I think he makes the jump to second team this year.

Simpson | 2021

should be Simpson’s lead player this season. Simpson has played in Marsh Madness the last couple of seasons and it is Petre’s job to get them back. Because of that, the second team should be where he lands as he helps Simpson make another run.
Class C will be competitive as usual and some of these games are fun to watch. While there will be some surprises along the way, this list of players is as solid as they come. We look forward to seeing how they perform going forward.
