Below we will take a closer look at the East players who took part in the event and breakdown their performances and overall game.
Josh Minott Josh Minott 6'9" | PF St. Andrew's | 2021 State #30 Nation FL , St. Andrews (FL) – Minot showed his playmaking and scoring abilities from the wing position. The 6-foot-8 Memphis-signee has rebound and push the break ability where he can either get to the basket for an above the rim finish or hit an open teammate on a drive-and-kick opportunity. Minott has three-point shooting range off the catch when he has time and space and is great when slashing off the ball to the basket.
Alex Fudge Alex Fudge 6'8" | SF Lee | 2021 State #40 Nation FL , Lee (FL) – Fudge is a freakish transition athlete who is always looking to get out in the open floor and put someone on a poster around the basket. What makes the 6-foot-8 LSU-bound forward such a lethal transition scoring threat is his ability to clean the defensive glass, lead the break, and uses his ball skills to get by defenders and to the rim. Fudge showed at this event that his shooting range and consistency are continuing to improve.
Samson Johnson Samson Johnson 6'10" | PF Patrick School | 2021 State #145 Nation NJ , St. Patrick (NJ) – Johnson is trending as an inside-out scoring type of big man whose soft hands and great touch around the basket are what he made his name on. The 6-foot-10 center headed to UConn is a smart and instinctual defender who has great timing when contesting, blocking and changing shots around the basket. Johnson has showed flashes of perimeter shooting ability out of pick and pop situations.
Jonas Aidoo Jonas Aidoo 7'0" | C Liberty Heights | 2021 State #89 Nation NC , Liberty Heights Athletic Institute (NC) – Aidoo is an intriguing uncommitted senior big man whose skill combined with his athleticism will make him the target of many high major programs in the late signing period. The 7-footer is a high level rim protector who runs the floor with ease and has great hands, feet and finishing ability in space. Aidoo uses his balance and fluidity when facing up from 17-feet and making an isolation move to get to the basket. As far as close-range offense goes, Aidoo moves well without the ball to find space for an open look when a teammate penetrates.
