Below we will take a closer look at the East players who took part in the event and breakdown their performances and overall game.
Rahsool Diggins Rahsool Diggins 6'2" | PG Archbishop Wood | 2021 State #70 Nation PA , Archbishop Wood (PA) – Diggins is no-nonsense floor general who embodies how the point guard position should be played. The crafty 6-foot-2 senior is a willing, capable and high IQ passer who always has his head on a swivel looking for open teammates. In transition, The UConn-signee uses his quickness and change of speeds to get into the teeth of the defense and create shots for himself or his teammates. Two of Diggins’ best attributes are his ability to control the pace of the game and the way he values the basketball in limiting turnovers.
Jalen Warley Jalen Warley 6'4" | CG Westtown School | 2021 State #25 Nation PA , Westtown (PA) – Warley follows suit with Diggins is a high IQ primary ball handler and lead guard who really puts his teammates in spots where they can be successful. He has great size for the position at 6-feet-4 and uses that to his advantage when surveying the floor in both transition and half court settings. Warley will take his basketball savvy and all-around understanding of the game to Florida State next season.
Deebo Coleman Deebo Coleman 6'6" | SG West Nassau | 2021 State #49 Nation FL , West Nassau County (FL) – Coleman has a college-ready frame at 6-feet-6 and his scoring package is something that will carry over well to that level, too. The Georgia Tech-bound shooting guard uses his brut strength and powerful athleticism to bully his way to the basket where he can absorb and finish through contact. Coleman is also a capable shooter off the catch from beyond the arc with deep and consistent range.
Trey Patterson Trey Patterson 6'7" | SF Rutgers Prep | 2021 State #36 Nation NJ , Rutgers Prep (NJ) – Patterson looks the part of the modern 3/4 man and has a versatile game to go along with his impressive 6-foot-8 frame. The Villanova-bound senior is a high flying finisher in transition as he covers tons of ground quickly with his long strides while his fluidity allows him to side-step defenders around the basket and finish with finesse or power. Patterson’s lateral speed and balance make him an intriguing defensive prospect at the next level.
